  1. They all have their umbrellas out now ;D I was going to head to Camp Mack this weekend or early next week. With all the rain we're getting, I'm probably going to fish Lake Parker, right here in Lakeland. It's a great lake, it's just been a bit low.........but not anymore!
  2. Are the lenses a specially coated from Maui Jim or where they made my Pearle Vision?? I wear titanium Oakley XX's and I got tired of spending big bucks on Rx lenses from Oakely. My local place sells me replacement lenses for about 65 bucks. I have 5 sets of XX frames, one for every possible use
  3. Go to your local video rental store ASAP! I went to mine at 11am yesterday. lol. My daughter said it's on our Fios PPV. I'd like to buy it on BlueRay also.
  4. Beautiful work Marty! I'm really diggin the baby tilapia I have a feeling, that ones gonna earn some battle scars!!!
  5. I just never head in that direction from Lakeland. If you can make it to Lakeland, Saddle Creek Park is a great place to fish from shore. It's on 92 between Lakeland and Auburndale.
  6. I don't get stress, I give it!! 8-) Nothing stresses out the knifemaker. Unless, like yesterday, all I can catch is dinks
  7. Here in central Fl, we're going to get rain on thurs and fri. There's a front coming through but it will stay in the 70's through the weekend.
  8. Where did you see it?? Is it in the theaters?? I'm a HUGE fan of the first one. The bartender with Turrets in the hospital was one of the funniest scenes of all time.
  9. Nice one!! I'm heading down 60, your direction this weekend
  10. I fished my local pit lake again today. The only thing that I could get bit was trick worms around the bank. The dinks were out but nothing big. Not a single bedded bass spotted. The water temp went up to 62 during the peak of the day. The lake was dead, NOTHING jumping or breaking the surface. I've had enough of the small lake scene this week I'll be off to Camp Mack or maybe Walk in Water this weekend, weather permitting.
  11. I managed to fish for about 2 hours on saturday at a local pit lake. I found the same thing. Until the water warmed up to 60 in the sunny areas, nothing happened. After that the dinks turned on.
  12. I've fished quite a few tournaments on Ariana. It gets a LOT of fishing pressure. You better hope the lake is up or the boat ramp could be a pain in the BUTT. My best results have been dragging texas rigged worms in deeper water off the weedlines while everyone is banging the shoreline. But......that was in the summer. They could anywhere when you'll be there. There's some deep spots if you hug the shoreline heading to the left out of the boat ramp, I guess that would be north. They are just off shore in front of an odd looking house with angled glass windows. That spot seems hot anytime of year. There's a weird kind of weed in that lake. Somtimes, fishing trickworms or Senkos quickly through that stuff can work well also.
  13. Based on the looks of that lures snout, I would call it chunk & wind & bump Nice photo. I'm looking forward to taking photos of some custom balso baits when they arrive.
  14. Beautiful work!!
  15. Please let us know how you did!!
  16. I waited until noon today and hit the local pit near my home. As soon as the water warmed up to 60 in the sunny spots, they turned on. I caught 5-6, pretty much dinks and a 3lb kicker. Then my trolling motor mount tore out For only being able to fish for about an hour and a half, I had fun. I thought Tracker advertisted NO wood in the construction of their boats?? The entire front deck area, ahead of my trolling motor panel is WOOD > Anyway, now I gotta get me some of those rubber molly thingies and screw it back down. My son and I crunched the motor pretty hard last week but it seemed fine...............NOT!! :-/
  17. Well......... My boat is charging. I'll probably work today and hit the lake tomorrow and maybe monday. Being self employed, I can shift my work schedule around my fishing schedule I'd rather be chilly in my workshop and warm out on the water!
  18. Good question! I might head down towards Lake Wales or I might just fish the local pits. I'm busy as hell with business so I probably won't know until I head out
  19. Rant ON: This is getting rediculous. I just bought a second tank of propane to fire my shop heater. I've gone through more propane this year than all the previous (10) years combined. I've had about all I can take and I'm sure the bass have too It looks like it's going to warm up a little this weekend. I'm hitting the lake no matter what Rant OFF: Thanks for letting me vent
  20. My American Bulldog loves the boat. I also take out my friends rescue pitbulls for a ride sometimes.
  21. I take up two pumps. One to fill the van and the other for the boat. No problems then. ;D I've done that before
  22. If you used debit card with pin number, is there still a limit? Yes, absolute BS > I can't swipe the same card twice either. I'd have to go inside and have the manager wave his magic wand over the cash register : This isn't the case at all the stations but seems like it's the direction they are all headed.
  23. Around here, when I make a fantastic cast, I usually thank God, it didn't go 2 inches farther ;D
  24. Many gas stations have a $75 limit on a CC or debit card purchase around here as well. What a bunch of BS. I have to use two cards to fill my truck and boat.
  25. IMHO, what's giving JJ his winning edge is the communication between he and Mr. Knaus and a great pit crew. They probly have some very subtle setup techniques that are working well that even their other Hendrick teams can't pick up on. They usually have enough adjustment in the car to tweek whatever's needed to get to the front. Plus, JJ is just a good driver.
