Bass Players
This is my MUCH loved, early 80's Yamaha BB1000s. The easy playability of the neck and punchy sound is just awesome.

My "Parts Jazz"! Warmoth neck, Kubicki body (California), EMG pickups, Bartolini preamp, Badass bridge, all setup by a luthier named Steve Dvorak. He did an amazing job on the frets and brass nut and overall setup. He also made the 4 layer tort pickguard. This bass just plain magic and I would NEVER part with it. It no longer has the goofy Fender decal

Bass Players
That's a really nice photo! I have about 14 basses 3 of which are projects. I've had quite a few high end customs but "my tone" has led me back to more simple 4 string basses. I really love the early 80's Japanese Squiers and other Japanese Fender clones from that era. I also really like the neck thru Yamaha BB's series basses also from that same era. I also have a Carvin frettless, and a nice Jazz parts bass built from some rather nice American made spare parts I'll try to post some pics. Right now, all my bass photos are too big to post here. I'll see what I have uploaded to my website that I can link to.

"Sean Don" Champagne? Am I the only one who didnt know this?
- It's called a Killer Whale for a reason...
That's not at all what the spokesperson just said. They are contemplating a wild release OR a semi wild release like they did with Free Willie. IMHO, they probably got some news from their insurance company that's woken them up a bit.- whats ur weather looking like for this week??
Unseasonably FRAKIN cold > Unless it's windy as hell, I'm going on sunday, even if it's cold.- It's called a Killer Whale for a reason...
News Conference from Sea World this morning. Actually soon at 9am EST I think. They will announce that the whale was beaten with a wet noodle and will be performing, business as usual, this afternoon.- Favorite Beer
I just cannot understand how some people like Yuengling. There is NOTHING that I like about it. There are SOOOO many better, light pilsner style beers. At the bar I often go to, they have a dollar night for Yuengling. I wouldn't drink it if they paid me a dollar each :-/ Killians and Fosters are others that I just cannot understand any demand for. Then there's Mic Ultra. What IS that?? It's not beer. It's something created in a lab somewhere ;D Sorry if I've offended any fans of the above mentioned beverages- New pending world record peacock bass caught!
I'll be happy catching one half that size!!- It's called a Killer Whale for a reason...
I will bet the whale stays where it is and continues being part of the show. No kidding.- Dipping snuff and fishing
YUK!! I hate copenhagen, probably the best use for it!!- Dipping snuff and fishing
I don't think dip would put bass off anymore than other things on the boat. I keep a wet towl by my seat to wipe my hand on. After a while it smells like garlic spray so, everything I touch probably smells like that.- Dipping snuff and fishing
Costing your bites or causing you bites?? I doubt it has much of an affect either way, especially if you're using scents. I once dropped a can of cherry Skoal from my treestand. It spilled all down the tree and landed on the ground. I had a doe come in right up to the tree and sniff the can!! I'd tie a can over the side on your boat ;D- Favorite Beer
I would have to say that all the beers made my Paulaner are my favorite.- It's called a Killer Whale for a reason...
Exactly, so why was the animal still being after the first two? It is just like when people get upset when a bear or tiger attacks a trainer, why are they so shocked? Very simple. Like the PeTA people, they value an animals life more so that a humans. Rather than put the whale down, you end up with a situation like this. They consider themselves Whalewisperers or something, determing the whale is safe after several repeated rehabs :- Lake Walk in Water
I didn't know Zoom made a 4" trick worm....I knew they made a finesse worm, is this the same thing? junebug red is a very good color.....one that I did not have when I fished Walk-in-water.....could have made a difference.....I won't get "caught" without them again. Where were you fishin Johnny? Tarpon?....I live just down the road from there. This is one bait where I don't believe color matters. I prefer the more natural looking ones. My son constantly whoops me using white, bright orange or yellow > He says that being able to see them a mile alway allows him to fish them better. I think color means everything when using finess. Bright oarnge and yellow ;D WOW I will have to give that a shot. I was not on Tarpon but I was on a small private lake. I will be at Tarpon next weekend the 6th(gotta start preparing for the open tourney in May). The Zoom 4" Trickworm is what I call it because the look exactly the same but it is called a finess, I had never used it before and I am impressed . We use the standard Zoom Trickworms but somehow we ended up with a pack of the 4 inchers as well. I don't think either of us has tried them though. Lots of Trickworm fans use the 3 bright colors. If you look back through the various articles on fishing them, you'll see them in use. I seem to do best with a junebug or pumpkin seed. As I said, my son kills them on the bright colors casting them in the grass, hydrilla pockets and aroud other cover. If sunday works out weatherwise, we're going to hit Walk in Water. Hopefully things will pick up.- Lake Walk in Water

We started out with trick worms and Senkos but once the wind picked up, we changed our strategy Surveyors is VERY shallow along the banks so we tried our deeper water tactics without any success.- More weekend cranks
Nice!! I need some that will work during the week as well as the weekend ;D- Lake Walk in Water
I got my boat back........FINALLY and it seems like they cured the problem. It ran pefectly. We fished Surveyors Lake this morning in Alturas and got SKUNKED. Not a bite, no fish spotted, nothing breaking the surface, IT WAS DEAD. I don't ever recall not catching anything on Surveyors. We're going to shoot for another outing somewhere on Sunday. - It's called a Killer Whale for a reason...
