  1. Our new for 2011 top-of-the-line Tournament Class Optimus baitcasters do feature a unique "QuickFlip" switch for flipping/pitching situations. It's ergonomically designed and strategically located on the top of the right side plate for easy access. These reels should be available to consumers in late fall 2010. Good Fishing, Pinnacle1
  2. We have received confirmation from all of our winners for phase 4 of the Pinnacle "Sneak Peak" Tournament Class Rod giveaway. We'll be posting the winners at the Rod & Reel and Pinnacle forums tomorrow (Mon., July 19). Thanks to all of our participants in phase four. We are now accepting entries for the final phase of the contest (phase 5). If you are interested in entering, please send a private message to me, along with your full name, e-mail, shipping address and "favorite angling technique." Good Luck, Pinnacle1
  3. Basser223: Thanks for recent post. We're please to hear that your new Pinnacle baitcaster is serving you well. For the money, it's hard to beat the quality and performance of the Platinum Plus. You can expect continued smoothness and reliability over the long haul. Again, thanks for the positive feedback. Good Fishing, Pinnacle1
  4. Gonefishing65: Apologies for the slight delay in responding to your recent posts. I have been at the ICAST fishing tackle trade show in Las Vegas. With all the media interest in our new Tournament Class reels and rods, I have been swamped over the last few days. This is the first real chance I've had to get back online and respond to BR forum questions/comments. I am sorry to learn that you experienced a problem with your Solene baitcaster. Rest assured that what you described is highly unusual for this reel. Normally, these reels are smooth, reliable performers. While it sounds like you may have fixed the problem yourself, we want to make sure the issue has been resolved properly, and that you are completely confident in the performance of your Solene baitcaster. I will check with our customer service department on this, and will get back to you tomorrow (Mon.) via PM on how to proceed. Thank you for your patience. Sincerely, Pinnacle1

  6. Incheon Basser: Thanks for your recent post. All engineering for Pinnacle's new Tournament Class Perfecta Rods is done at Pinnacle's state-of-the-art factory in Pusan, South Korea. The blanks are also made in Korea at our Pusan factory. The Fuji guides and reel seats are imported from Japan; the two-part heavy epoxy coating is imported from the US; and the AAA cork used is from Portugal. Final assembly and inspection of our Perfecta rods is done at our factory in China. What's truly critical is not WHERE these rods are made, but WHO is making them. Rest assured we use only the most advanced engineering/manufacturing technology and the finest materials available. Pinnacle also upholds the highest standards for quality assurance in the industry. Good Fishing! Pinnacle1

  12. Congratulations Again, Seyone. We're sure you'll enjoy using your new Pinnacle Tournament Class Perfecta Rod. These rods were designed in part by accomplished BASS Elite Series pros. They also feature Pinnacle's proprietary "Double Helical Construction," which incorporates high-density carbon tape layers, wrapped in opposite directions, around a high-modulus graphite pregpreg "core." The result is a feather-light, hyper-sensitive rod, that's also super strong. We'll look forward to hearing what you think of your new rod, once you've had a chance to get out there and fish with it. When you post your review, please remember to do so at both the "Fishing Rods, Reels, Line and Leaders" forum, and the "General Bass Fishing" forum. 13. Just wanted to let Bassresource.com members know we've selected three (3) more contest winners for the second drawing in our ongoing Pinnacle Tournament Class "Sneak Peak" rod giveaway. As soon as we receive confirmation e-mails from the latest winners, we'll post their names/locations. Also, we'd like to announce the start of PHASE 3 of the contest. You can start submitting your entries for this contest phase today, June 14. We'll be accepting entries for this drawing through June 27. Remember, if you submitted an entry for a previous drawing, you'll need to do so again to be considered for the current drawing (previous entries do not carry over). To submit your entry, send me a private message containing the following: Full name, e-mail address, regular mail (shipping) address, and your favorite angling technique (i.e. worm/jig, flipping/pitching, cranking, spinnerbait, Senko, swimbait, frog, etc.). Every contest winner receives a new, application-specific Pinnacle Tournament Class Perfecta rod, specialized to handle his/her favorite fishing technique. These rods are not available on the market yet, hence the "Sneak Peak" contest name. We only ask that contest winners post a review on the rod they receive at the Bassresource.com "Fishing Rods, Reels, Line, leaders and Knots" forum, telling other BassResource.com members what they think of their new, state-of-the-art Tournament Class Perfecta rods. We'll look forward to receiving your entries for Phase 3 of the contest. Good Luck! Pinnacle1

  16. SoFlaBassAddict: Thanks for the great review on the new Pinnacle Tournament Class Perfecta rod you've had a "sneak peak" at. We're glad you are impressed with the quality and performance. Just an FYI...for a 7' 6" Flipping/Pitching stick, this rod is extremely light and sensitive. As you mentioned, however, if you're used to shorter/lighter worming/jigging rods, this med. heavy action flipping stick may not feel as lightweight or sensitive in comparison. Let me assure you that with rods for other applications within the Tournament Class series, the lightness and hyper-sensitivity is readily apparent. The casting and spinning models are some of the lightest -- if not the lightest available on the market today. They're also super strong, thanks to Pinnacle's proprietary "Double Helical Construction" (DHC5). This exclusive construction process involves multiple high density carbon tape wraps (applied in opposite directions) around a high-modulus graphite prepreg "core." This allows for the elimination of glass scrim and resin, resulting in a rod that's feather-light, yet exceptionally strong and durable. The greatest news, however, is that these rods offer a higher level of quality and precision than our competitor's top-of-the-line rods at a significantly lower price (around $100 less) than competitive models. Best regards and Good Fishing! Pinnacle1
  17. Sfritr: Thanks for your recent post. You are correct, the Pinnacle Solene and Platinum baitcasters feature similar designs, line capacities, features and components. The only real difference is the number of bearings. The Solene has 5 stainless steel ball bearings plus a roller bearing, whereas the Platinum has 4 SS bearings, plus a roller bearing. For the money, both are excellent reels. You can't go wrong with either one. Good Fishing, Pinnacle1
