  1. X2 on the suspending jerkbait, also try a football jig, hair jig around docks and a single colorado blade spinberbait. These work for me on deeper rock lakes.
  2. What Gman said, X3. If you wait to long, its next to impossible without chipping the paint.
  3. Berkley 4" finesse worms jersey rigg
  4. Sent 5 reels to DVT on Sat.
  5. 40 strands for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, 50-60 on jigs depending on size. like Cadman, I do go with less on smaller jigs.
  6. 1/8 Stanley wedge spinnerbaits 1/16 - 1/8 jig. Try all black. 1/8 black hair jig
  7. Crankbaits are my weakness as far as baits go, but sticking with an area or pattern to long would also be one. A lot of times I feel I can make them bite what I want and where. That really bites me in the a@s sometimes.
  8. Any of the reservoirs are good. Especially in early spring, the fish move relatively close. Find some of the topo maps and see where sand bars go out into the resevoirs, wade out and cast spoons to the edges.
  9. Don't know about the Potomac, but my favorite pond on Long Island was overcome with salt water and didn't fare so well. Lots of dead carp. Next nice day I'll try and check out the bass population, but it don't look good. I hope the potomac is well and good, it's one of my favorite fisheries.
  10. A big thanks to Adam from KY. I recieved some really nice baits. Striker 90 in ghost smog A bunch of Robo Worms (Aarons Magic) Shad Eye 2 drop shot baits This is all dead on for the type of fishing I like to do. Happy Holidays!
  11. I fish a lot of small ponds all year long. By far my best jig is a 1/8 round or football finesse jig in all black. If you'd like, pm me your address and I'll send one out to you. I find the smaller jigs work better and black has never let me down. The deepest part of the pond in winter will hold the fish unless it's a real warm day.
  12. Not since the storm, to busy trying to rebuild the house. Still can't get the boat out of the garage to winterize it. The d**n dumpsters in the way. Can't wait till spring!
  13. Package is in the mail. Happy Holidays!
  14. Silver Buddies, hair jigs, spinnerbaits and a jig. When the water hits the 40's here in ny and ct deep structure is the deal. Humps, foundations, etc in 15-30 ft. Look for bait and fish with the depth finder and vertical fish. If they're still in shallower, that's where the jig and spinnerbait take over.
  15. Glenn, that's exactly what started me on thinking about the Eco boost. I like The F150, so I thought why not another. Then I saw the Eco boost engine and started looking into it. It tows more than my F150 with the 5.4. Blue, I had just had a tune up and changed a bad coil, but still pulling struggled a bit, not like before. Those back plugs were a pain in the ass. I think the dealer even ripped me off on the first tube up. There was no way that back plug was changed.
  16. I had the ford, so fiqured I'd look at another. I'm open to all suggestions. My 99 f150 was great. Had the 5.4 tow package etc. Seemed to have lost some pulling power lately though.
  17. Excellent info. Diesel might be a pissiblility also
  18. Great, thanks for the info. I have a couple if months, so I want to be as informed as possible.
  19. Jig or 4" straight tail worm
  20. All around the Arkie is very good. I prefer the football for hard structure and a poison tail for grass.
  21. Thanks for the info. It does sound good, but like you I'm leary. Decisions, decisions.
  22. My truck was turned into a submarine from Hurricane Sandy, so I'm in the market for a new one. (hopefully) I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Ford F150 w/ Eco boost. I'm towing a Ranger 461vs. Thanks.
