  1. I've been thinking of getting the 10E model, but have a few questions. It seems fine for regular fishing with 2 people, but I'm thinking of joining a small boat club and would like to fish tournaments out of it. They would be on small lakes and ponds. My questions are: Will it hold 2 people, 2 batteries, a cooler with pump (used as a livewell), trolling motor and gear? Or would I be better of with a 10-12' aluminum jon boat? Thanks.
  2. Daiwa rods and reels Norman and Rapala cranks Old Rebel Pop R Luck E Strike, Berkley and Yamamoto plastics Custom jigs, buzzbaits and spinnerbaits
  3. X2 on the baby hog. For pitching into weeds, add a glass rattle, a 1/2-3/4 tungsten bullet weight and peg with a toothpick or bobber stop and your all set. Green Pumpkin is the way to go.
  4. Texas Rig Shakey Head (Good on weed edges) Jika Rig Skirted Punch Weight w/ Texas Rig (Good in weedy and padded areas}
  5. Luck E Strike 4" Razor worm.
  6. The early spring largies and smallies here would tear them up. Nice job!
  7. 7" and 10" at night are great (black)
  8. I use the same baits and colors at night, as I use in the day. This includes white spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
  9. Split ring from barrel to hook or lure eye.
  10. Black and Chart. is a great stained water color. Works very well on a certain big river you fish. Junebug works anywhere, but I like a color close to the Berkley Blue Fleck over standard Junebug.
  11. Football jig, shakey head worm and a spoon.
  12. Bullet, Poison Tail (like the one Vinny Chase posted) or Grass style come through the grass well. Nothing is totally weedless though. If you have that slime grass, it's just a pain in the a**. Grass style w/ eyes Bullet style, no eyes
  13. Both the jigs and photography look awesome.
  14. My sons using the baby brush hogs on a spider slider head and doing extremely well.
  15. Great bait. Unfortunaley you can't find them anymore. I had some custom made and they worked ok, but not the originals. Try using the 3" senkos in their place. Also not the same, but ok.
  16. X2 in what basscrusher said. They are great, but more of a finesse bait head. From anything larger than 4"-5", I like to Texas rig w/ a tungsten weight and EWG worm hook.
  17. 3" hand poured swim bait (paddle tail) on a custom 5/16 oz. grass jig. Jig is the actual color, swimbait trailer is not. I match this jig with a pearl black flake trailer.
  18. Black or green pumpkin.
  19. Definitely use the 10lb. I do my shore fishing w/ 12lb Trilene Big Game, so I can switch off between jigs and other baits such as frogs and spinnerbaits and don't have to carry a unch of rods. Jig size depends on the water you are fishing. Deeper, say 5-10', go 1/4-3/8. Shallow say 0-5' I like 1/8 and 3/16 oz. For most ponds I use the smaller ones, they seem to work better. As for color, you cant go wrong with all black.
  20. eBay and classifieds are great ways to upgrade. Quality is definitely better than quantity.
  21. I've been doing well with a 3" hand poured little paddle tail on a bullet style jighead 1/8 oz with a 90* line tie. Just steadily swimming it around docks, rocks and weedlines.
