I havent tried out many brands, but the only company i used for flick shakes are Jackall. depending on the conditions, i used either 1/32 - 1/16 oz jig head (note: i am fishing on shore). I only use the 4.8 size flick shake in watermelon candy or sunburn melon as these produce the best for me (results may vary). i used it two ways: as a drop bait by pitching into structures and also like a dropshot but more shakes to the slack. i recommend using a ultra light to a medium light rod with fast action and 4-8 lb test.

I've only used their spybait and it works magic. So far i was able to catch some decent bass, stripers, and trout with it. its a killer bait, but im usually scared to fish them as i dont want to lose them.
  3. I have this reel and the pixy type r. I love this reel more than the pixy because it palms better in my hand than the pixy. performance wise, they both perform the same when stock, but results may vary if bearings or spools are upgraded. for me, this thing replace my spinning setup as it does everything my spinning rod does. all i need is an ultra light baitcast and i wont be needing a spinning setup anymore
  4. i have the 8in version but its a floater. Is the one u have is a floater? if so, its is best for u to slowly crank it on top like the bbz. i havent thrown it enough to get a fish on it but i heard other people been doing good with it.
  5. you can check out japan tackle and see if u can order it online. the link to the website is below http://japantackle.com/ if it seems too pricey, you can try to find it on ebay
  6. rockchalk06: it is similar however very different. the reaper that i have is flat on one side and rounded on the other. the tail is also not splited like the one u showed. its also have softer material than the one that you showed. thnx for the help though.
  7. Can anyone identify the company or name of this lure? I bought this from another guy at a swap meet but it was in a ziploc bag, so I couldnt identify it. It has nice action n I would love to get more. It is a reaper lure but with a ribbed body. Thnx for any help. <a href="http://s1330.photobucket.com/user/viaxai/media/IMG_20130505_190648_zpsbba8db8f.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1330.photobucket.com/albums/w574/viaxai/IMG_20130505_190648_zpsbba8db8f.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20130505_190648_zpsbba8db8f.jpg"/></a>
  8. have anyone tried these glasses yet? ive seen a video of these glasses on TW and i thought that they might be great for the price. however part of me is saying that it might be a scam for my money. if anyone have bought these glasses, can u please tell me if they are actually worth it and compare it to other glasses. thnx for any reply
  9. i say try fishing a 5in yamamoto senko texas rig or wacky rig http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12401-senko-faq-%C2%A0look-here-first/ you can learn more on how to fish it with the link above. because spawn is starting, i recommend you to throw a suspending jerkbait. this bait works all year long, but spring is the time when this bait shine the most for me.

anyone used these types of baits yet? i picked up a couple of packs in the 3 in. are they any good? besides dropshotting, what other ways can i fish this lure. thnx for any tips and advices.
  13. throw a white suspending jerkbait.
  14. since you already have a 2500 setup, i recommend you to step down to a 1000 size model. there are many times when you may want to use lighter line in order to get those finicky bass. the down side of this route is that you may have to fight the fish longer and be more cautious getting those big ones in. i have shimano stradic ci4 1000 mfl with 5lb sunline flurocarbon to take care of most of my finesse techniques. however, you can upgrade the line to 6lb or even go to braid with a flurocarbon leader if you are worried about line capcity. im only using these light line because im a bank fisherman and dont fish really deep water like others who have a boat
  15. i have thrown huddlestons on braid, copolymer, and mono but not fluorocarbon. for copolymer and mono, i used 20-25lb test for the 8 in huddlestons with no problem. i have also tried braid, but the bad thing about it is that when you backlash, you have a high percentage of snapping your line and loosing your lures. i wouldn't recommend braid, unless you tie a mono or fluoro leader.
  16. bill siemantel is also sponsor by shimano
  17. hey guys, have anyone used this swimbait yet. i just bought this swimbait and i cant use it till the weekend. any reviews or tips for this lure will be good.
  18. ipeeinmywetsuit: i have thrown the huddleston 68 special and lunker punker 6" on the rod and the rod handles both baits at ease and is able to launch the baits without any problems. like i said before, this rod is perfect for handling any 6in bait.
  19. i have a dobyns 795 mh mike long swimbait rod and i really like it. the only problem is that it cant throw any baits that is longer than 8 in, but it excels with any 6in baits or smaller. if you're gonna throw small baits, this is the rod for you. if you want to throw bigger swimbaits, i recommend you get the dobyns 806 mike long rod.

regarding to the arkie head, how do you guys fish it compared to the football head? do you guys hop it more instead of slowly dragging it?
  22. i have just started jig fishing with the football jig and ive been getting good fishes with them. With that style of head cover, i was wondering which other type of jig would you guys recommend as an all around jig that covers grass and structure fishing. there were way too many jigs styles to choose from, so i just wanted to get different opinions on which jig head or brand has the best all around jig head.
  23. you can try bass pro shop's new carbonlite spinning reel. it holds alot of line and is very light. i believe its just under 100
  24. i have one spooled with 6 lb invisx, one with 14lb sunline, and i have one spooled with 50 lb braid.
  25. i say get the cumara because *** have it on sell for 130. its a pretty good price on a rod that is suppose to be 220
