  1. around 1/2 oz weight would be good. They're a big fat worm!
  2. Another option is to look into parasite weights. They work well fro me swimming through weeds and trash.
  3. Two or three days a week at least a couple of hours.
  4. What about desiccant packages?
  5. I used to use them exclusively! And then they invented Rapalas...
  6. There are a lot of combos in that price range. Most places have a couple of their "house" brand combos under $100. Abu has a pretty good one also!
  7. In order to answer the OP, yes...And yes the new ones are not very good.
  8. It'd be a great week for sure!
  9. Lost a toad Friday and caught another load of dinks...
  10. Yep. Sure are!
  11. H2O and slim jims or beef jerky.
  12. I've got one and I like it so far. My buddy who fishes local tourneys has a half dozen. Don't believe all the nonsense about spending a pile on a reel (or rod) if you don't have it to spend. Take care of it and it will last a long time.
  13. It was pretty much a top of the line reel. I had one and destroyed it this spring when it flew out of the boat going down the highway. Peeled the sideplate right off of it...
  14. A friend of mine just picked some up a couple of weeks ago. He likes them a lot!
  15. Old timers around here who catfished with Penn reels used to dunk them in the water every cast.
  16. Never caught a fish on it and I was glad when it became buried in a brush pile.
  17. Been doing OK numbers wise but only a few over 15 with the biggest, so far, being 2.5 lbs. My buddy who fishes tourneys hit one about 6.5 a couple of weeks ago. I figure it's just a matter of time before I hit a couple of bigger ones.
  18. The Renosky scattering shad? I just found a half a dozen that I'm going to break out again. I used to really pound them on those!
  19. Straight retrieve. I've also had good success "dragging" them on the bottom if your bottom structure allows it.
  20. Was it a Bell Lunker Lander or a Hazy Dazy?
  21. Can you say Jelly Worm!
  22. I caught a channel cat once in about 20 feet of water on a floating rapala...
  23. 'Bout half. Mostly baits. Find a lot on clearance and I hate sorting through bargain bins unless they're freshly stocked!
