  1. I've done pretty well on them in cold water dragging rocky bottoms. It's all my wife likes to use.
  2. T1s good. T2s not so good. I've only had 1 T1 that was a POS out of the package and I stripped the blades and skirt and tossed it. The arm was at an incorrect angle and the blades wouldn't spin. No adjustment would make it work, so...My best T1 got carted off by a big pike in MN.
  3. My wife fishes with me a lot. So do my granddaughters. My tourney partner's wife fishes with him a lot too...No issues here.
  4. Yesterday I go into the local super Wal Mart. They're clearing out a lot of the reels, so now they carry about 5 casting reels and 7 or 8 spinning reels. They've never had rods unless you want an ugly stick or Shakespeare. But, if you go around the corner, they now carry Owner hooks and Mustad KVDs...Go figure...
  5. There is a thread like this about every single rod ever introduced. I'm sure somewhere, there's a "I set the hook on a bluegill and my Ugly Stick snapped in half" thread ;D
  6. I used a 6'6" MH lightning rod for most of last summer as a Texas rig plastic rod. I caught hundreds of bass on that rod using fluorocarbon line up to 5 pounds. In spite of what others might tell you, you can use it to fish plastics. It is the best "cheap" rod that I've ever used. Mine is now going to be a general purpose rod since I've gotten two new rods for worms.
  7. Quite out of the question. You must have a least 4 $300 rods to do two totally different techniques You'll loose your card
  8. Keep it simple. Keep it fun. Keep it so they are the focus. Enjoy yourself!
  9. Shakey Heads, Swim and regular jigs.
  10. Just hit today!
  11. I believe you are correct, sir. But I've never seen one with the "hula" skirt on the hook. Maybe an add on?
  12. Just saw a Revo, All Star combo at Gander Mountain for 200. Might keep an eye out for a sale.
  13. Amen to that, brother! I still had that Bantam until it flew out of the boat going down the highway this year!
  14. The trick is, you have to be smarter than what you're working with : OH MY GOD!!! HA, HA, HA, you got me...I'm so freaking stupid I can't put a reel back together. It went into the dumpster AFTER I put it back together and used it for a couple of years. It never had half the performance of my Bantams. For some reason, I thought I'd re-activate the flippin' switch, so I took it apart again. Then I decided to throw it away...
  15. I have to confess that out of all the dozens of spinnerbaits that I've had, lost and thrown away, the only one's that I've ever had major blade rotation issues with have been expensive ones. Primarily ones with titanium arms...
  16. I can tell you brother, it wasn't much good for casting anything after I took it apart trying to disable the stinking flippin' switch. I have taken many things apart in my lifetime, but that was one ***** to put back together. I finally dumpsterized it. ;D
  17. Didn't they have one in the 80's or early 90's that had a flippin switch on it? It was either them or Diawa. At any rate it was a POS...
  18. You know, you've got a point. That SOB would cast like nothing else. Maybe it was just because I used it for so long, but none of my new stuff comes close unless you are tossing big baits.
  19. I have caught the hell out of fish on those swim shad in the spring and fall dragging it on the bottom. Just goes to show one man's trash is another man's treasure!
  20. I had one. The only reason that I'm not still using it is that it flew out of the boat and went for a ride down the highway and peeled the side cover off of it. Good piece.
  21. Rebel Pop-R, Dancin Eel, Mann's 15 and 20+ crankbaits, Just to name a few.
  22. 6.13 on the willow leaf blade. I had a different skirt on it though, blue and chartreuse.
