  1. 5'6" Pistol grip from BP is my fave, but that Shimano is quite interesting!
  2. PQ. The JM has a few more bearings, not much else superior.
  3. Bayern did everything right but win.
  4. I don't know about yaks, but I'll never use a canoe for fishing without them again.
  5. A year and a half on mine with no issues at all. Go for it. PQ with 65lb is my frog/slop outfit as well.
  6. Depends on what you are doing with the leaders. Throwing flies or poppers on a floating line, I prefer tapered. If you are throwing sub surface or heavier stuff, straight mono is fine. As far as the rod goes, it's up to you if you are ready to upgrade, then do so. No need to go nuts though!
  7. Most of mine are 6'6". I have a few 7 footers and I 7'6". I bought my first 7' rod (Diawa) at a PX in the 1980s for "flippin".
  8. Baits, hooks and line. No rods or reels.
  9. Keep mine in plano boxes. No problems at all.
  10. There's a lot of satisfaction in being able to do that Clayton86!!!
  11. Do this ^^^ and don't fish the area you plan to hit, if possible. Go sore mouth the fish somewhere else!
  12. I only have 2 "matching" rod and reel sets. I don't even give it a thought.
  13. Do contact a professional. But, my best guess would be to thin them out a little and see what happens.
  14. This "I spoke to DG&IF and a tournament fisherman on this site who is a police officer and they said to write down the boat registration number, date, time and place and report the individual to the tournament director. They both said not to escalate the situation with your weapon." Unless you own a U-Boat.

Gortex boots, 8 inch or knee high rubber boots. Depends on the temp.
  16. Exactly! Want to know what my braid rod is? Loomis? Nope. Lamiglass? Nope. Berkley Lighning Rod. If I bust it, it's 40 bucks at Walmart.
  17. I used to use trailers all the time. Usually Mr Twister grubs. Now, I practically never do. Only time I use trailer hooks is if I'm getting "short" strikes. If they are taking it in their mouths, there's no need.
  18. Red shad, purple shad, black shad. Still use them all!
  19. Try to put some in the boat before dark. Once it gets dusk/dark I've had good luck getting good fish with senkos tossed unweighted into the same areas you'd fish when it's light.
  20. Purple. And look for irregularities in the bank. Cuts, points, pockets in the cattails, etc.
  21. I can cast mine a hell of a long way. If my head's up my behind, I can make one hell of a birds nest, too! You will find idiots that can break an anvil with a glass hammer everywhere.
  22. Dual willow blades with one of each.
  23. Chelsea has to sit three because of suspension??? WTH!
  24. 4 inch robo in purple
