  1. I'm going to be filling John's seat. Reelcrazy I'm kind of dissaapointed your not going to make it out! I wanted to actually get out and fish with you haha!
  2. A baby craw on a 4/0 EWG hook? Mines a rage shad on a owner twist lock 4/0 1/8 Oz. keel weighted hook. Rage craws pegged with a 1/8 Oz. Tungsten weight is a VERY close second.
  3. Imo this isn't correct. Darker colors in my experience have been proven in murky waters. Junebug black ect.
  4. A life vest IMO is not a place to skimp. It's only your life were talking about
  5. This thread again... The final verdict will be a jig, but a Shaky head would be my choice.
  6. The money we spend on this fish is INSANE. I always say to myself I bet I could catch just as many fish with a cheap ugly stick combo, but yet I have 7 Cumara's.... From the famous words of my mom I though fishing was a "cheap" hobby.
  7. I think everyone is worried about it! I'm just a youngun' and I can even notice the effects that this could have on our economy. Serious business.
  8. Thats awesome man I am 6'2 and weigh 158 so you would probably destroy me, but I ran a 19 minute 5k in route to a 40 flat 10k.
  9. Dwight that's awesome. A marathon is quite an accomplishment!
  10. Was this fish caught on live bait? Awesome fish!
  11. I was blessed with long legs and I just like to run!
  12. Yeah I am a morning person I'm up by 6 dang near everyday to run or fish! do you do any races? I'm training for a sub 1:30 half marathon right now.
  13. Does anyone on here enjoy running? I love fishing by myself because I often feel at peace and at one with nature, and on a long run in the woods I feel this same serenity. Any other runners on the forum?
  14. How does this little green fish make one so happy? I worked from 10-5 at the tackle shop then 5-10 at the Italian restaurant today, and all I thought about all day was how tomorrow I was going to get to fish my favorite ponds. I never once complained about the work load or how long of a day it was. I was simply just focused on getting out tomorrow and catching a few quality fish. I really don't even understand why I love it so much, but still even after catching multiple nice fish I shake so bad I can hardly retie after landing a 4+. I hope this drive I currently have instilled in me never ceases! Tomorrow when that alarms squaks at 5:30 i'll be so siked to roll out of bed! Does anyone else use fishing as their motivation? P.S. I got a new video Camera, and tripod so be on the look out for some videos! Maybe some froggin'
  15. Also craigslist is your friend. Keep an eye out for opening businesses. Hayden (Fat-G) got his when the new local Texas Roadhouse opened. After putting in an application remember to call up the business, and ask if your application has been viewed. Good luck and don't get frustrated jobs are scarce in these tough economic times.
  16. Catt did you often fish with Jack on the bend? I think about him all the time, and miss his presence on the forum. He seemed like a genuine guy, and gave some excellent input on here.
  17. Heck they are even capable of eating a 12in worm!
  18. Water temps at a local Va lake today at 5:30 am were 89.3! Air temp. 101 with heat index 115!
  19. Go to your local tackle shop dressed neatly, and talk with the owner. Tell him about you interest in fishing and the outdoors, your willingness to work, and your eagerness to learn. You may be suprised what comes of it. Ask around the worst answer you can possibly get is no.
  20. Yeah just go get a lighting rod and a black max man! no need for 7 cumara's 1 crucial 6 curado's and 2 stradic's In all seriousness I have some money saved up for college but often wish I would have saved a tad more. The deals I could get while working at the tackle shop were just too good to pass up! 120 for a Cumara makes them even harder to resist. I'd say put away at least 50% of your checks when you become employed again though bud. Have fun on your vacation there will be some serious smallmouth slaying when you return.
  21. Just use a coupon Woody
  22. Welcome! Great forum here with alot of great information! Do you fish lake Claytor?
