  1. Sorry, I was golfing
  2. The Cleveland Bass Club had it's tournament on Sam this week-end out of Jackson Hill. We fish Sat., safe light until 3:00 p.m. and Sun. safe light until 1:00 p.m. The rain on Sat. held off until 2:00 so only had an hour to contend with that. It rained all night, but quit at 5:00 a.m. so that worked out nicely also. Heavy stringer on Sat.(5 fish limit) was 13.84 followed by 13.02 and 12.74 for the top 3 - big bass was 5.92 lbs. - on Sun. - heavy stringer was 18.04 followed by 14.38 and 12.85 and big bass was 6.22. Heavy stringer for the 2 day tournament was 30.78 followed by 27.40 and 26.69 Most of the bass came from the shallows 1-3 ft. with the favorite bait being a weightless senko - a few on spinner baits and traps. All in all a good tournament with allot of 5 fish limits. Now is the time to be on the lake. Enjoy - keep a tight line - God Bless
  3. hunterfishes: I sent you a pm for your email so I could send you a copy of the latest Rayburn fishing report, but you never responded.
  4. Go get e'm hunterfishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Wow!!! What a time to break down. I am a back seater at this moment. I'm pulling for you hunterfishes hope someone comes through for you.

  7. Welcome aboard bloodandguts!!!!!!!!
  8. Lake Ray Roberts: Have any of you experts fished Lake Ray Roberts?? I have a tournament there in March and have never been on the lake. What kind of structure does it have??? Any vegetation?? How deep is it?? Water clarity?? ect., ect Thanks
  9. hunterfishes: Fished a club tournament on Conroe on Sunday. We fish team in the club. There was 11 boats and only 10 total bass caught. 1 boat got on them and weighed 5 fish for 20+ lbs. We came in 2nd with only 1 fish, but it was a nice one - 7.93 lbs. Keep up the good work
  10. Here is the scoop with the Texas Team Trail on Rayburn today: 251 boats 39 boats with over 15 lbs. 12 boats over 20 lbs 5 bass over 9 lbs. Winning stringer 35.14 lbs - Wow!! over a 7 lb. average - Must have found a staging area of big Mamas' We had only 4 bites, and landed all 4 and weighed 3 for 5.38 lbs. - not good 2 came on a wacky worm, 1 on a rattle trap, and 1 on a chatterbait water temp as high as 53 in the back of some of the creeks There on the move, go if you can - keep a tight line
  11. Live in Conroe - keep in contact when your tournament gets closer.
  12. Thanks for the info hunterfishes. Looking forward to the first trip. Been a long time since I have been on the water. I will have a couple of rattle traps tied on. one red for sure. Friday is supposed to be quite warm so maybe the water temp will get up to 50. I read all the posts almost every day and appreciate that you like getting out on the water at such an early age. Keep a chunk'en and keep a tight line. Backwater
  13. Did not get much response from my last post requesting the condition of Raburn. I guess most are not fishing because of the weather. Anyone been on the lake?? What is the lake level, clarity, how about the grass line, what depth are the fish holding in?? Have a one day tournament on Feb. 15 on the South end of the lake out of Umphrey's Pavilion. Don't know much about the South end. All info appreciated. Thanks Backwater
  14. Whats happening on Sam Raburn?? Haven't been on the lake since last Sept. I have a 1 day tournament on Feb. 15 on the lower end of the lake out of Umphrey Pavilion. Don't know much about that end of the lake. Any suggestions of where to begin. Lake level, water temp, baits, ect. I sent a PM to Shaneus but haven't heard from him. Thanks BackWater
  15. As only a casual user of this forum, and only get to come to the Bend 2 or 3 times a year, I appreciate all the up-dates and current info that helps me to catch more fish. God Bless all of you regulars!! A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Belated Happy Birthday Catt and RIP Fishfordollars
  16. Catt: I didn't fish patroon personally - That's where the 2 top stringers came from, so I don't know the details
  17. You didn't mention the Texas rigged worm. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot and let's see what happens. My personal experience, worm color is over rated. Try a green pumpkin seed, watermelon red, black/bluetail, plum, ect. ect. Good luck!!
  18. Fished this past weekend 19-20 - Windy and cold to say the least- Sat heavy stringer was 13+- Sun was 16+ - The two top stringers came from Patroon in 5-7 ft. - It was overcast until noon on Sat. and the topwater bite lasted until then - Red and white lunker lure worked the best. We did get a couple of fish on ribbit frogs, but were few and far between. Threw a spinner bait for miles, never got a strike. Another boat reported catching a couple on a spinner bait. Spent some time in Indian Mound, did catch some fish on the edge of the visible grass line over grass on a Texas rig. Sun. real slow - very few fish caught Keep a tight line!!! Dutch
  19. Thanks for all the info guys - heading out in the morning - will let ya'll know how I did. Thanks Dutch
  20. Shaneus - Catt - Dam Yankee - Bass-Fanatic - six-mile -C-rig What are the Bass doing on the Bend???????????? Coming up this weekend. Thanks Dutch
  21. Fry:: Congrats - Not a bad weekend - Last time out caught so many small fish, but enjoyed the catching. I was supposed to fish a club tournament on the Bend this weekend, but my partner has to go out of town for his company and getting too old to fish by myself. Good luck to all.- keep a tight line!!
  22. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Long Mike: I have a small club tournament on Oct 19th and 20th out of Lowe's Creek and will not be on the Bend until then. I will be interested to see how you do. Good luck and have a great time. My first trip to the Bend was in 1974. I joined the Conroe Bass Club and had a tournament there. We fished in Veach Basin and tore the bass up on a bleeding shad rattle trap and won the tournament. The fish were there both Sat. and Sunday. One of the best days I ever had. keep a tight line!!!! Dutch
  24. Fished Raburn this past weekend out of Caney Creek Park. Heavy rain Fri, Sat. drizzle and cool, but the wind was 20-25. Stayed in Caney Creek - ribbit frogs and flukes early up in the hydrilla - T-Rigs caught most of the fish the remainder of the day, but they seemed to be holding in the scattered hydrilla about 5 - 10 yards off of the visible hydrilla. Water depth was 7-8 ft. - Veach was also a hot spot. Black with blue tail worms worked well. Caught ALLOT of small fish 10 -13 3/4. Had one 4.68 and 3.88. Sunday warmed up, but the wind didn't lay. Don't forget to throw a crankbait some. Keep a tight line Dutch
  25. The average Bass fisherman doesn't get the opportunity to fish as much as some of the bass fishing fanatics on this forum. I would like to participate more, but I only get to fish the Bend about twice a year. Therefore, I cannot be real active in participating in the weekly activities. That being said, Jack (fishingfordollars)- God rest his soul and Catt have always been accommodating in giving current information when asked. I don't mean telling their fishing holes, but lake levels, water clarity, baits the fish are hitting, water depth the fish are holding on, where the fish are moving ect. ect. ect. This gives the casual angler a place to start and I am forever grateful. Thank you Catt!!
