  4. I catch fish on Rat L Traps all the time. Especially in early spring. White bass and hybrids kill rat l traps at night.
  5. Another way is to use the rig suggested about and in the place of the rope use a piece of panty hoe. Sounds strange but once a gar bits down he won't be coming off.
  6. I have had real problems with Berkley Vanish. Main problem with this line is that it frays way to easily. I lost at least four fish from break offs that were two or three feet form the the lure. I don't know if it was a bad batch or what but I'm never buying it again.

  11. I fish out of kayaks mostly. You can get up in the reeds where an actual bass boat can't. Whenever I need a bigger boat I just call up a buddy and we hit the lake.
  12. I have bought reels off Ebay with out any problems....You will definitely save money if you are patient.
  13. Another for Bomber Square A lures

  15. Wow these are really nice. I have been looking for a gizzard shad just like that. Great work
  16. I can throw crappie jigs with my Quantum Energy. I would guess with a 1/16 jig head with grub and a spinner the total weight would be around 3/16.
  17. In-Fisherman for sure
  18. I would wait until the water temperatures get up a little warmer than that. Wait until they start spawning in shallower water.... For a begginer spawning bass are easy to catch
  19. Go to *** .com and find the sale items at the bottom of the list on the left side of the page. The check out the All Star Platinum for $68.88 great deal! I saw this rod on tackle warehouse about a week ago and bought. Its an All-Star Platinum rod which is being discontinued. It has all the components of a high end rod. IM 10 graphite blank and Fuji Alconite Guides, Fuji Sensa-Touch Blank Thru reel seats. Over the weekend I hooked up unintentionally with a thirty pound carp. After an hour plus fight the rods was still in perfect condition. So its definitely strong and sensitve. I would definitely suggest this rod over a BPS rod. Also tackle warehouse offes free shipping!!! ;D
  20. Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions. It seems that I might need to check out a Shimano Clarus. ;D
  21. Does anyone else know anything helpful about these rods??
  22. One time I was fishing for catfish with a buddy of mine. I let him use one of my rods. Well he was not watching it and a catfish pulled it straight into to river. About a hour later I was casting my pole back out and caught the reel that had gone in the water. On the Other end of it was a twenty five pound catfish.
  23. Thanks all for the suggestions
  24. I'm looking to buy a casting rod under 80 dollars. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I'm also interested in All Star Rods if anyone knows much about them. Thanks
