  1. I havent got June yet, my latest is March
  2. I was reading about this technique in the Bassmaster Mag. What do you guys think of it. What colors of tube do you think would work the best for this. And it said not to go below 1/4 oz weight but i was thinking about fishing a 3/16. Would this work? also would it work if i did the same thing with a ribbontail worm?
  3. Instead of buying prepainted spinnerbait heads so i can build my own spinnerbaits, I was thinking obout buying lead heads, so each can be a seperate color instead of buying 5 packs. What kind of paint should I use? Since I dont have an airbrush, Will spray paint work, and if so what kind? Also what should I use for an epoxy coating.
  4. if i ever had one of those people screwing up my fishing they would need to see a doctor to remove my 7" flipping stick from their %#$ > > >
  5. Is there any way i could make my own soft plastic molds? If so how and what supplies would i need.
  6. Since I dont have a melting pot what would be the best way to melt down old soft plastics so i can re-pour them into molds of other lures.
  7. OH MY GOODNESS!!! That is a huge fish! It could probably eat my dog!!!
  8. There's only two bass I would keep ..... the WR and a state record. I would keep the World Record alive if at all possible and find somewhere that would take it in and had a big enough tank so that paople could go look at it.It would be interesting to see how big it could actually get before kicking the bucket. That would be cool to be able to look at a WR in the aquariums every time you stop by Bass Pro Shops to pick up some tackle. I bet the other fish in those aquariums would be scared!!
  9. This is Huge!! Legendary for all bass fisherman. If its true that is.... If it took 70+ years to break the old one just think how long this one would last. I bet Dixon gets quite a few people in there in the next couple weeks. and just think of all the money he could be getting from promos and sponserships and magazines and books and etc.
  10. The color red disappears somewhere around 12 ft. So I wouldnt recomend cajun line for fishing real shallow water. Red lures and lures with red hooks would be best fished shallow and not so much in deeper water.
  11. I wonder which state has the better license plate??? California or Georgia???

I have a walmart and a home depot here so i will check with them. i need the stuff to put on cranks and topwaters after i repaint them. so i will probably get the Devcon 2ton
  13. same here. I basically just stick to sidearm. I am pretty accurate with sidarm, and then i can pitch and that about covers it. every now and then when i have to cast overhand i will get about 1 in 5 casts to be good.

Where can i get the Devcon?
  15. Ok thanks guys i think i know what to get for epoxy, but what Brand of spraypaint should I use because i still dont want to drop alot of money for a airbrush, because I only have around 20 crankbaits and just need to fix the paint on some of them.
  16. I used to put them into Plano Utility boxes, but i found that it took up way to much space and the colors would blend and the baits woule begin to dry out. I took all of the ones i had in the utility boxes and put them into zip locks. Now i just keep them in there original packs. But here is how i organize them. I go out and buy a soft sided tackle bag, they usually come with 4 or 5 utility boxes. I take the boxes out and use them to store other things like crankbaits and stuff. Then all that is left is the empy soft sided bag. then i take giant sized zip lock bags and put all my soft plastic worms, most of which are Zoom U-Tails and Trick Worms, in one. Another giant zip-lock is for Tubes, another is for creatures and crawdads, and the last is for Senko style baits. Then i just put all of the giant zip lock bags into the empty soft sided tackle bag. This way they are all organized and they are easy to trasport around.
  17. yea I looked in that Senko question section of the forum, and i couldnt find anything about colors either so thats why i asked this
  18. Just because Georgia doesnt have 20+ lb bass caught often like california, doesnt mean that they aren't there. Georgia anglers catch numberous 15+ lb bass every year. Now you know that not all the bass that are that big are caught every year, and most that big that are caught in Georgia are released. These fish are still out there growing, and they dont all just die or stop growing at the 20lb mark. These fish are still out there swimming somewhere. Georgia definately has the possibility of producing a 22 lb 4 oz fish. Just because there isnt as much proof of it happening back then as there would be now due to technology and grown interest in the sport doesnt mean it isnt a valid record. By the way I am from Kansas so this has nothing to do with a Georgia/California battle or whatever.
  19. What color of Senkos produce the best for you guys?
  20. It was 1932. Pictures weren't readily availiable, and the ones that were taken probably weren't kept because a world record fish wasnt what everyone was chasing back then.
  21. I think the record is for real. The bass was recorded and weighed. Just because it hasnt been broken in 70+ years doesnt make it fake. Even though Georgia hasn't had bass that are in the 20 lb range doesnt mean there arent any of them out there that just havent been caught. Some of you might think that this is the stupidest idea ever but i think that back when the record was caught in Georgia there was less fishing pressure as there is now, so fish could have gotten bigger, and there isnt the stress of tournaments on them.
  22. I was watching Bass Tech this morning and they had Scott Rook on and he was showing how to paint up crankbaits. I got most of what he was saying but I have a few questions. He was using spray paint cans, and an airbrush. I dont have an airbrush, but i dont want to spend alot of money on one, just for fixing a few crankbaits a year. My question though is, what type of primer should I use? Is it just white spray paint? Also what kind of spray paint works the best? And what should I use for the clear epoxy finish? I also would like to know any websites/stores that I can get all of these things, and if walmart has them. Thanks Guys
  23. heres what i do when i have trouble with a magazine subscription. usually they dont help to much on customer service... soo.. i go to the new customer choice on the automated questions on the phone and for some reason (I have no idea why.. ;) ) they seem to treat new customers better and never put them on hold). so when you get there then just tell them about your problem and if they try and transfer your call just hang up and go back to the new customer thing and usually after a couple tries you will get a nice person who will help you out.
  24. Winter - not much maybe a couple times all winter. Spring - about once a week. I cant get out that much with school, and the closest lake is 45 minutes away and the closest ponds I can fish are 30 minutes away. Summer - about twice a week, but I hope to increase this due to me fishing tournemants starting this year. Fall - maybe once or twice a month. I cant get out much then because thats right during football season and football is my sport. I have either practice or a game almost every day, plus school is starting back up.
