Jig & Pig - Why not red/orange?
Really KU? over here in western Kansas the crawdads are more of a brownish orange so a pumpkin/orange has worked good for me. this is about the color of the crawdads here

To tell or not to tell......thats´s the question
i like to tell people what i am using and explain how to use it and why. i mean if we share these things it is improving the sport, because they in turn might tell others and they might tell others and it really helps the sport of bass fishing. and it doesnt hurt anything to share information. ive fished with guys before who think its a sin to even tell if youve caught a fish or not. i just dont think that is the way to go about treating fellow anglers

Fishing guest coming from Georgia
i dont see how someone could be forced to quit fishing i mean i am 15 now and almost 16 and my parents like that i like to fish i mean there are alot of kids my age that are into some bad things and i mean fishing is really good and keeps kids out of drugs and other things that they shouldnt be doing. i dont think anyone should ever be forced to quit fishing.

Drop Shotting
ok im just getting started on this technique and ive read all the articles about it and now i have just a few questions. 1. Does anyone pitch a drop shot rig. i love pitching soft plastics and i like to think of it as my strong suit, and i was just wondering if anyone pitching it around cover with any success. 2. Most people say to use it on spinning gear, and light line, but could i use a larger line size like 20 with a baitcasting setup without hurting action or the way that it is supposed to work. 3. Can i use larger baits like 6" worms and 4" tubes and those kinds of things, other than finnese baits. 4. what size of bell sinker do you guys reccomend for the techniques i have just asked about above? thanks for all your help guys :)

Skeet Reese because he is the man!!!

hook set problem
when fishing a topwater or a crank you dont need a hookset really because of the trebles. they usually just hook themselves if you pull back on the rod, but dont jerk it because you could pull it out of their mouth.

Spinnerbait
the only spinnerbaits i use are ones that i make myself. i buy pre painted lead head frames, and then i buy blades and skirts and swivels and beads and clevises and spilt rings and everything i need, so i guess you can say that i tinker with the whole thing. i like doing this because i can get exactly what i want from a spinnerbait and i figured it up it costs me about 50 cents to make 1.

Fishing on heavily pressured lakes
I use it outside of the tube and i peg it with a rubberband so it stays close to the tube and gets the tube down deeper. to peg it just tie the rubberband in 2 overhand knots on the line right above the sinker. it works great and is more line friendly than pegging with a toothpick. as for colors i like Black Neon/Red Flake as my #1 color. 2nd is Watermellon Red. i dont use green pumpkin all that much because it is almost the exact same color as the water alot of times.

MY POND
well if you are dead certain then it probably would be a good idea to add some bass. make sure they are big enough to spawn so that they can start making little bass.
-
MY POND
i think that the bass should grow and reproduce enough that you shouldnt have to worry about it. it would be almost impossible for your brothers to catch every bass out of the pond. it would probably be good if you put a few decent sized bass in there, but otherwise just let them spawn and they should be fine.

parrot bass opps i mean peacock
i saw a show about that on tv. they were stocked into the canals in miami to get rid of the tropical, un-native fish that people dump into the canals from the home aquariums when they dont want pets anymore. on this show they were catch tons of peacocks, the biggest was around 6 lbs and they caught 3 or 4 largemouth over 5 lbs. it made me want to go fish the canals in miami.

Please Help!!! with new lake
the windblown side of the lake will have more baitfish than the other side. any place where 2 pieces of cover or cover and structure meet. (such as a tree in the middle of a weedline, or a weedline over the top of a drop off) fish all of these areas that stand out from the other parts of the lake. a small patch of weeds apart from the main weedline is also a good place to fish. any thing that is the same but stands out from the main group of somthing is always good to fish. (a tree away from a group of trees, or like i said a patch of weeds away from the main weedline.) i hope this helps. now go out and catch the big one

Help!
try a weightless trick worm like ablechaser said. just slowly twitch it around. also try a Zoom Super Fluke in shad color. rig it weightless and it looks identical to a injured baitfish falling.

Swivels, Leaders, or Nothing?
hey Desslok. I'm not saying that you are right or wrong i just think that how is a little snap on the front of a lure going to distract a fish anymore than a treble hook on a crankbait or the wire shaft on a spinnerbait.
