  1. Do you guys prefer ewg hooks or straight shank hooks? what size for 5" senkos? ive been using ewg bps hooks size 2/0 or 3/0 and sometimes the senko drops like a dart nose end or just doesnt wiggle unless its hooked perfect. was wondering if i changed to straight shank would i lose my hookup ratio and get better action
  2. 10" t-rigged worm has produced bigger and quality fish for me recently ive learnt. i always wondered why i catch small fish all day and then i tried that out one time and continue to catch good fish every time i go out. the fish in my picture is a 4lb i caught on a 10" worm two weeks ago. caught a 3lber the other day with one. fish it with the smallest weight possible. upgrade the weight if they arent biting and want a faster presentation.
  3. Bought a pack of strike king shim e sticks in the watermelon red flake/black flake for $3 @ dicks sporting goods today. They look darker than the image. I've used shim e sticks before and they are durable and catch fish. Grabbed a pack of black blue/flake also. Two for the price of one pack of Senkos
  4. I agree about having to put them right on there noses. It took a good bit of casts to get bites with the color I used and I'm out of that color. That's why I was curious to other good colors so when I buy more senkos ill grab a few colors.
  5. Love strike king products. Use there spinnerbaits and recently there rage tail products.
  6. I've tried wacky a few weeks ago caught two smaller fish. Might have to get back on it and ill let ya know if I find that color.
  7. Plum apple looks killer. My local dicks sporting goods has some limited edition colors ill see if I can find that one
  8. well i was thinking about throwing some lipless cranks. i have some firetiger colors and a few days ago i caught 6 good fish on a red shad 10" worm. Same worm, no fish yesterday. only caught them on the black/blue senko. Picky, picky fish!
  9. ive tried green pumpkin but they are so close to the color of the weeds in the water and no bites. i had better luck on the black/blue flake senkos. i even tried watermelon/red flake & watermelon. i think greens and browns match the weeds where i fish. i wanna try some florescent and black colors.
  10. i tried watermelon/red glitter and no bites. switched back to black/blue glitter caught fish. ill look into bubblegum or some other neon color definitely.
  11. i was thinkin about mixing it up and throwing a bubblegum, orange, or another bright colored senko out there and see if they will bite it
  12. There are plenty of 5+ pound fish swimming around by the dam in 2s or 3s but I don't know what they want. The fish I did catch were 2-3 pounds each and they took off with the senko and didn't let go. Guess I'll look around at dark colors with/without glitter.
  13. I fished a few hours this morning nothing worked today but a 5" weightless texas rigged senko in the black/blue flake color. The water is pretty murky. Visibility isnt much. You can barely see fish swimming in the shallows in most areas. You can see weeds when the sun comes out but nothing else. I threw the senko into weed patches and caught 4 quality fish. They demolished the senko. What other colors you think would produce? Im gonna get some more colors. Ive tried watermelon/red flake, green pumpkin (weeds are the same color) and they didn't touch neither.
  14. i fish in two lakes, a shallow one weeded up thats murkey/muddy occasionally clear by the dam and the bigger lake by the dam produces bigger bass. its stained.
  15. went to my local walmart only color they had was watermelon red. hopefully the water is clearer than yesterday
  16. i might pick up those 3 colors and see which one gets bit more where i fish
  17. what are good colors for muddy water or really murky or stained water?
  18. those anacondas look good. ive been catching good fish the past two days on red shad
  19. Ive been noticing pictures of people using them. Is the smaller baby craw good or the bigger version? Whats a good setup for t-rigging them for weeds?
  20. I fish in a weeded lake thats semi shallow and it drains into a bigger lake thats deeper. I fish by the dam on both lakes. Whats a good weight to fish a 10" worm in the weeded lake and a good weight to fish the worm in the deeper area where the dam is. I caught a 4lber today in the deeper area. Usually have a weight bigger than the smallest bullet weight and a 4/0 or 5/0 hook. Texas rigged by the way. Am I better with a lighter weight or stick with the one I use already? and what are some good brand worms and colors this time of year. Ive noticed bigger worms = bigger fish.
  21. i picked up a pack of culprit worms tequila sunrise color ( purple/black ) i keep seeing tequila sunrise pop up over and over so i had to grab some up. i had awesome luck today with the red shad color 10" worm
  22. ive been using bps hooks in 2/0 for my ten inch worms...yes. Ive caught 6 fish today minus two I missed. Guess I should switch to the 4/0 hooks I got. lol.
  23. I got rained out! I ended up catching 6 keepers in 3 hrs. All but one were caught on a 10" culprit red shad t-rigged worm. They wouldn't bite anything but that. Bought a pack at Walmart thinking they would be a last resort bait, now they are on the top for the lake I fish. They are tought worms and I caught 4 of the fish on one worm before it was trashed
  24. lazer sharp works for me. havent lost a fish and i like the price. get two packs for the price of almost one pack of gamakatsu hooks. i usually let my dad use some and he never gives back.
  25. have you had an issues with the red dye coming off the cajun line?
