Anything reliable other than liver? Ive only tried cut up bream and livers. Cut up bream I only hook turtles and liver bream get to it quicker than catfish most of the time in the lake I fish. Just looking for maybe a good reliable dip bait or something I can order online or maybe pick up in store. Tired of catching turtles and bream.

today i went out with a 3/8 oz weight no bite for hours then changed to a 1/4 oz weight weight for hours no bite. it has to be the time of day, water clariity, temperature. etc. i went home empty handed.

trilene xl in 12# mono is what i learned on and now all i use is fluoro

my pb is a 6lb 1oz and 2 summers ago i caught 4-5lbers all day long 2-3 times a week on a 10" worm. nothing else. really tho i think any bite and size excites me especially when i fish a pressured lake and i work so much to get a bite i get hyped up, then if i lose that fish i get ticked lol

i normally use them this time of year as my # 1 bait. today we got lots of rain all day til this afternoon. the weathers been in the 70s past few days. tomorrow im heading out at 6am and its gonna be in the low 60s going into the high 70s by the afternoon. what size weight should i use for texas rig? i have a few but last week was warm and the fish wanted a faster drop rate. maybe ill try my smallest weight tomorrow morning?

have caught some massive bluegill in my local lake on chicken livers...mostly because they are about to go on bed...they wanna fatten up before their spawn. they sure are good fried tho mmmm mmmm

yeah same here got some ewg 2/0 worm hooks and a sticker...although were supposed to get more stuff. i needed some 2/0 hooks

they are off and on spawn here in georgia. the weather and rain wipes them out

Ive only caught 2 good bass in the last month. I was outfished today by a 76 yr old guy using a finesse zoom worm by the dam with a crazy rig, is what i call it. i was using everything i had to get one bite. he lost a pig when i showed up and caught 3 2.5-3lbers. What are you guys having luck with? every time i go to the lake they are trying to spawn or already on beds. its insane. most of the time the weather is in the 70s-low 80s and in the nights its no lower than 50.

i have a whole box dedicated to them. i love em. i also use strike king shim e sticks. they both are cheaper and perform just as good and catch fish.

i got the koppers 1/4oz version. ive got a few good bites on it but im sure they were dinks. great engineering and quality. im buying more soon!

bass have been spawning at my local lake for weeks. bluegill are now swarming their beds.

she might have some eggs. bass here in all my local lakes and ponds are bedding everywhere and are stubborn

Did good last week caught 10 in chicken livers. Its getting warmer. I normally rig a 6" steel leader with a egg singer and a 1 or 1/0 bait hook. Im trying to get past the fact that no quicker than I set my line tight to relax and they clean me in no time. Do I need to do something different.? Heavier weight? lighter? Everyone I did catch was eating size or better but I did lose a whole container of livers before I started catching them due to getting my hook cleaned off in such quick time. I caught a 14lb channel catfish a few months back with the same rig but it wasn't this warm. BTW its gonna be high 70s low 80s all week and I'm going back sunday which will be 77. Lows during the night til then are in the 50s.

all my rods are medium heavy action just enough leverage to get a good hookset and sensitivity

dont be afraid to set the hook hard...if its a blue gill you might rip his mouth off or hook into a good bass. there are certain types of hook sets i do. i do a side sweeping action when jig fishing and for texas rigged worms/lizards i do a hard upward to the side hookset. set it hard.

figured as much as they cost and as good as they so called are....free, you cant beat

Gonna be 80 degrees here 4mph winds and calm. Just picked up a koppers live target frog (the tiny one) and what better morning to try it out than tomorrow. its currently 67 degrees now and calm, slightly sunny. its gonna be an all day-er tomorrow!
