  2. me and a buddy at work usually hit some local lakes or ponds near office parks. im looking to take one rod and reel and one bait with me. something i can use anywhere, anytime, and any type of cover. ive been using brush hogs lately with some luck. i think maybe if i take another color with me or maybe some rage tail space monkeys i can do better. little help? i always take a few poles and half my gear with me to use one thing and i need just ONE lure to bring em in!

Caught some nice fall bass. Two were caught on a green pumpkin brush hog unpegged bouncing off the bottom through a weed bed in open water. A smaller one was caught on a red eye shad. Great strikes and fun.
  5. Wanting to try this out on my lake. Its the one thing bass havent seen.
  6. h2o xpress reel with 15lb fluoroclear paired with a h2o xpress 7'MH rod. i can throw any weight spinnerbait with this setup with no issues and best of all its super light
  7. well ive seen the bass trolling by the brown weeds just under the bream alot and ive got 2 packs of rage shads i havent used yet....nows my time and im trying to get my local academy or dsp to get some space monkeys. the lake isnt too shallow just some spots. most of its deep and most action takes place in that muddy channel
  8. My local lakes I fish once a week sometimes change alot. As you can see I took pictures of today how the water looks and weeds. Cloudiness of some of the water. Muddy spots in the channel. Most of the fish are in the channel and on weedlines waiting but I have tried everything I can withouth getting snagged on weeds to get a bite. I got one good bite on a spinnerbait. How do I attack this place when Its like this? Depth, Id say shallow goes from 2-5ft. The channel is 5-8ish or more. The lake is a 100 years old so everything is all natural. Ive used senkos texas rigged, 10" worms texas rigged ( heavy weights sometimes to get through the weeds ), spinnerbaits just above the weeds and/or through them, chatterbaits, rage tail craws, zoom speed craws....the lake isnt cloudy in all spots but im bank/dam fishing because of no boat so im limited. I have over the past 2 summers caught atleast 5-8 bass in a few hours every time I went and none were under a pound, most averaged 3-5lbs. The weeds get like this every summer and usually I catch a few but I'm thinking they are seeing the same things or Im not sure where they are. Theres so many bream in the lake the bass hang around them and dont touch them so usually they arent chasing much.
  9. My local lakes are so full of weeds I just need to start punching through them. The bass are trolling through the outside edges in channels and sometimes in the pockets. I've use a brush hog lately but one bass. Might wanna try something differen.t The water is shallow to deep and heavily stained/cloudy/muddy in spots. Im wanting to try Culprits new incredi craw but I havent seen my local dsp have them in stock yet. TW has them.
