guys guys guys.... we all have done it so lets save the young uns some aggravation. NEVER EVER EVER buy your lady a present with an electrical cord... I fell for the "I want a vacuum for mother's day" gag.... I got her what she asked for and I still hear about it... and this was 10 years ago.. I REPEAT...NEVER EVER buy your lady something with an electrical cord for a gift... :-/ AL

I have all 4 of my vehicles insured with USAA as well I have renter's insurance thru them too... full coverage on the new vehicles and comp on the other two... I pay about 160 a month and that INCLUDES the renter's insurance... not too bad considering one of the cars is a convertible. AL

Folks I just had the most amazing 18 days at home with my family... after being gone for a year this reunion was awesome. I got to drive my new truck, I got to fish out of my new jon boat (no huge bass ) and I got to spend lots of quality time with the family... But alas I must go back to Iraq to finish off my tour... Please folks cherish the time you have with your family... I know that I will from now on... NOW when I get back in August having wrapped up this tour... I EXPECT to go fishing with LOTS of y'all... next time I post I will be back in he... errr Iraq. AL

BC, I feel for you, I HATE a thief...sure wish I could help other than know I have said a prayer for you. You are a strong man... as evident from everything you have been thru... frustrating yes... just remember everything you have been thru and know that some moron stealing a trolling motor and a transducer from you while IS a big deal... ain't squat compared to everything you have been thru... if I had a spare trolling motor I would just give it to you... seriously I would... maybe someone here has just upgraded or something and will hook you up... Don't give up... fishing is the ONE THING I have that keeps ME sane... I can only imagine how important it is to you... AL

Went out with the neighbor today until the rain got a bit too hard and he didn't have a rain suit.... I got 5 he got 4... ;D it was another GOOOOOD day... AL

yeah its a bit tippy with two guys in it... but normally I am going to be by myself... its not so much wearing blue jeans.. its SMELLING freshly washed clothes that I am loving. .that and having to pick out what I am going to wear every day... a few of us have lost a lot of weight... mine was intentional... I have been needing to lose a bit of weight and this deployment was a good time for me to dedicate the time to it... I can run anytime I want before or after work... I have to go back on the 4th and I am thru with this deployment in the middle of August sometime... thanks I will let them know... we are all pretty much just "tired" this 15 month rotation has really taken a toll on us all mentally.. it is just so long to be away from your loved ones... now my question to you.... when are you going to come get my boat and redo it? make it white with gray carpet... it needs new wiring and a new trolling motor would be the cat's meow too! ;D AL

I am beside myself.. the "banker" let me get my jon boat took it out on its maiden voyage today and boated 10 and missed a couple good ones.. but I am not complaining... BIG thanks to my better half for giving me the green light to get this... I have been wanting a boat for over 3 years and I found one in my price range and she gave me the thumbs up... and a couple of fishes to keep it legal

;D that is what the wife said... over the last year I have lost about 50 pounds... helps with my running though... OH and tomorrow morning I am going to take a trip up to FT Gordon and pick my the boat.. then being truly blessed will be an understatement... AL

Thanks guys... spent the day with "momma" yesterday just hanging out and ate a 20oz t-bone .. OH and of course renewing my license and post fishing pass, today we are going to church and then going to Pass Pro shops I should be getting my boat tomorrow or the day after.. Well folks... I am back in the States.. ;D ;D ;D ;D I got to drive the new truck.. AMAZING to get to drive it doesn't cut it.. to get to drive it and not worry about being blown up is priceless... Wife and kids met me at the airport for a VERY emotional reunion. I am tearing up just thinking about it... *sigh* Had a guy buy my first cup of Starbucks and I of course immediately paid it forward to a young buck sergeant in line behind me... Then off to Texas Roadhouse.. I had a med rare steak!! YUM!!!!!! and then to BASS PRO SHOPS!!!! I got a new net for my boat... a GPS for the vehicle and a new hat and shirt since most everything I own now is too small to wear.... I got home and gave the wife and kids the gifts I hand carried home with me, and saw my bass for the first time... yeah I know.. sorry guys but it was legal and its the only Bass I have harvested in over 10 years.. so I think I get an alibi for it... anyways.. that Bass is SWEET!!! I opened all my fishing boxes I have been sending myself over the past month.. got my new drift anchors, line, battery charger... I am going to be on the lake VERY soon... anyways.. just wanted everyone that cares to know that I am home and everything is fine... my internal clock is still off a bit... I woke up at 0300 this morning ready to go.. so I got up and put a tonneau cover on my truck AL

well the weapon has been cleaned and turned into the Arms room.. all the bags are packed and now I am trying to get some sleep before I get on the plane... *sigh* YEAH RIGHT!!!... the next time I post I will be back in the Greatest Country in the World BAR NONE... thanks for humoring me and I will catch you on the American Side... 16 hours flight time.. from Kuwait.. there is a 4 hour C130 flight before that... put in all the lay overs and such and it will most likely be 30-36 hours total travel time.. IF I am lucky... and heck yeah I still want them... AL

I will put it this way... if I haven't wet a line 48 hours after I get back to my house... I am in the hospital or something... I bought a new fishing truck and Jon boat... I WILL be fishing LOTS on this leave

Hopefully in about 71 hours I will be on my way back for my 18 day leave... the last week has seemed like the last MONTH to me... ARGH!!!! just trying to keep busy till I can come home for a visit... a year is a long time folks... don't want thanks.. just PLEASE help me get thru the next 3 days hahahahaha AL

both systems have thier good points... I have both... I prefer the Wii for sports games.. but for shooter and driving games.. 360 is the way to go... bass fishing on the Wii is as close as I get.. and its actually pretty fun! AL
