OK... I need some help... I am an electrical dummy... so I need some help... I bought 30 foot of tinned marine wire.. 8 gage I want to say... and I want to rewire my jon boat... here is what I have and I need to know WHAT ELSE do I need... an WHERE DO I GET IT???? everything is spliced into one set of 12 gage wires so I NEED to get this done... but I need to... rewire a 38 pound bow mounted trolling motor.. this will EVENTUALLY be upgraded so lets keep that in mind... I also have a Humminbird fish finder my boat has a livewell and I am going to want to put a livewell system of some sort in there... I also only have ONE battery so everything is going to have to be wired into that... OH and I was wondering about putting the live well on switches and all.. where would I get something made to hold the switches? any help would be GREATLY appreciated... I have about 35 days to dream about how to do it... AL

I feel your pain... when I was stationed at fort irwin I was in the middle of the Mojave DESERT.. there was no fishing for me! so I drove the 2 1/2 hours and went deep sea fishing just to wet a line... it was better than nothing... just keep plugging away and hope you get a new place that has better bass fishing prospects..

would it help if I mentioned I am up for adoption again? I want to remodel my jon boat ;D Way to go guys... that is why I feel privelaged to be a tiny part of this organization. AL

about as close to fishing I get is paper cut outs ahahahaha but yeah.. I sure *** those folks down there that can fish... I am about a 3 hour rotary wing flight from there... so I don't get to VBC very often... AL

when I was home on leave after being off the water for a full year... I was skunked ONCE... but that is ok.. my youngest daughter wanted to go fishing with me so she was with me and the focus was on our just reconnecting and enjoying nature.. and making sure she put on sun screen every hour so her momma didn't skin me alive for letting her get burnt

SHHHHHHHH they have hopefully fully recovered from the assault I gave them when I came home on leave... so when I get home for good they will be more willing to fall for my TTPs Yeah Brian... I have played this game A LOT... but none the less every time is a new one so you can't underestimate the reintrigation and all that stuff... but I was lucky and go to keep in close contact with them family the whole 15 months... so there shouldn't be any HUGE surprises... but your right... slow and easy... its hard to not want to just take over... but the wife has been doing this for the entire time VERY well.. so it will be a nice break for me... AL

yeah boyyyyyy this is it for this deployment... I should have a full year before I have to deploy again but I am entering the twilight of my career... 3 1/2 years till I retire and don't have to worry about it at all... now just to get promoted so I can start that 3 year count down for the "top three" for retirement pay... gonna start the "come fish with AL" list too... anyone in Georgia that wants to come fishing.. just let me know... we will see about getting you on some of these famous Fort Stewart Ponds... as long as I am home by the 24th that is just before the Wife's Birthday... so I can plan and get something NICE for her... she has really sacrificed this last 15 months... I still have a birthday and an anniversary the second of each to go thru... but I am in double digits... WOOO HOOOO... I can't wait till my replacement shows up so I can start training him. AL

lets see how long I can keep this up.. BUT here we go.... 40 days and a wake up until I am back on American Soil. ;D AL

some years back when the Army was going to the Beret they bought a bunch from China... they had to recall them all and set our timetable back quite a bit becasue so many folks threw a fit over the fact we bought them from China.. *shrug* truth be told.. the ones we bought from CANADA were better than the ones from China, they looked and "laid better" on our heads... don't recall ever seeing a Military Beret made is the U.S.A. but I am sure they are out there... and just for the record... I bought mine at Ranger Joes in Hinesville and I haven't a clue where it was made ;D it was preformed so I didn't have to wet it shave and and then form it on my mellon. AL

I personally like the Garmin 260W for the basic users YES... I have this one.. I LOVE IT... we bought it the day I got into the States on my leave.. I knew I was going to be going to Orlando and didn't want to get lost... and I LOVE IT.. it tells you when to turn.. now its not fool proof... if the roads are new like they are in Orlando you still have to watch.. I missed a couple turns because I was relying on technology rather than my eyes ;D but for the most part... VERY VERY GOOD... I won't leave home without it... I will never be without one again... AL

a terrible blow to NHRA... he is a well like competitor and well be greatly missed... my thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and two young sons... AL

After 3 days of getting turned around due to our sand storms... Puddle of Mudd made it to Q-West to provide us a free concert at our outdoor theater... the show was so good right at the very end the generator literally blew up and started on fire... it was a total loss Thanks to the guys.. they made MY night... they even made a video for my daughter... they said "Taran YOU ROCK" and I sent it to her via email.. she loved it! anyways it was awesome and I am great full to them for taking the time out of their busy schedules to come here and give us some relief from our every day lives... yes this gives all new meaning to drive in! they did some taping for a video.. I wonder if it will make it into their new video? HEY RUSS... DIG THE HAIR CUT!!! great guys.. they even autographed pictures for EVERYONE that wanted one... and they said they would stay there until everyone go anything they wanted autographed...I wish I had thought about it... I would have ran back here and gotten my guitar hero guitar and had them autograph it! :'( Thanks again to these guys.. this is one of the few times in this place that I am going to look back on with FOND memories... AL
