  1. I'll be out there too!!! I love it, nothing like getting to the lake and seeing no one else on the water. I live in the South, and still anglers stay away during the cold days.
  2. Rage Shad for sure! I've had some incredible strikes using that lure.
  3. So, you took a bath while fishing? You Texas people are weird!..lol.. Great picture Steve!
  4. Big, or nothing for me. I have purged all my "small bass" tackle out of my tackle bags. I don't throw worms under 10", and my jigs are all 3/8 once and bigger. Dinks still manage to bite my big worms, crankbaits, and big jigs. I mainly fish solo, so I can stand to go hours without a bite.
  5. Thats sounds like the life of a swimbaiter!!!..lol.. But when she comes, its all worth it!
  6. I ask a friend if he would let me fish one of his honey holes today, little did I know this dude had an awesome pond! He warned me that if I caught anything over double digits to release it, I chuckled has he said it, and thought to myself," this guy has no clue of my chances of actually doing that". Well, The bite started horrible, no bites with in the first 1 1/2, then I decided to put on mister BBZ-1 in lavender shad, and it was like flipping on a switch! I caught 7 Bass in under 30 minutes, I had a blast! These fish were the only ones I remembered to take pictures of..lol..

I always start top water. Buzz bait, pop'r, and Rage toads. After that, the process of elimination begins.
  8. Great picture! I had the total opposite tonight. I threw a Hudd for 4 hours without a nibble!
  9. Gotta love 'em fat girls!!
  10. I looking at the the Irod ll Genesis swimbait rod, either the .Jr swimbait rod or the large swimbait rod. I know I want to throw 8'' Hudds, but I don't think the .Jr which is rated from 1-4oz could hold the weight. But if I throw something lighter like the Ospreys and some MS slammers on the large swimbait rod, it would be hard to cast due to how stiff the rod is. What do you guys think? Deep, I know you have some input on this..lol..
  11. Why do you always have to be a party pooper! ..lol..
  12. Awesome man!!
  13. Thats a true Monarch!!!
  14. Never! I might not have a nice pair of slacks in the closet, but my fishing gear is top notch...lol..
  15. Big jigs = big girls!!!! Another great fish, congrats!!
  16. Great story, and great bass! Congrats

Now I know why there are so many "the one that got away stories". This big gal fought like a horse, I had 50lb Suffix Braid with a 20lb seguar abrasixx line tied as a leader and all I can say is I am glad I had that over kill set-up. When she saw my Ghennoe, she bolted back down, and if I wouldn't had a heavy duty set up, she would have snapped my line. Those big mommas have so much force its ridiculous, but we all love it!!!!
  19. NorthStar premier rattling Jig black and blue, or purple/green pumpkin. As far as trailer goes, I love Paca baby craws and chunks.

I caught and released this beaut late this evening fishing deep with a purple and black jig with a paca craw used as trailer. She weighed in at 9lbs 6oz. When I first set the hook on her, I though I was hung on a log or something!!!!!....lol....
  22. Megastrike Pro Model 1/8 I love these things!! I haven't had any coils break on me yet, and I've caught alot of fish on them.
  23. Thanks for those links!! I was kinda not sure about the Okuma line of rods, but according to those guys they are pretty good.
