Spoiler Alert! Cubs V. Giants
I hope you're right, I would love to see it as a baseball fan, but a 1 game playoff to get "in" is so dicey. I love the new format, but I would much rather have the top spot. The Cards are just that much better IMO. You never know tho, it's about who gets hot at that time of year!

Working In The City...
Is a young man's game. I've been working on 2 different projects in Boston for almost a year. 12 hour days, long commutes home - home only - getting up at 3:15 AM and missing time to fish is coming to an end soon for this almost 50 y/o body. I hate working in the City with a passion. You land in Boston on your project site and you hit the ground running from the moment you land until you force yourself to go home. Schedules are unrealistic and the inspection process is more cumbersome than ever. Top that off with product coming in from all over the world and the biggest wait for delivery is to get the product through customs. I'm finished with the project now and got occupancy today. But! I'm not done, I'm still waiting for a small portion of the project that doesn't affect occupancy. It's been my longest lead item and it's coming from ... wait ... Pennsylvania, USA! Are you kidding me?! Anyway, rant over...anyone want to fish this fall? I've basically missed fishing this whole year and most of last and I can't wait to start enjoying life again. John

Anyone Build Single Foot Guide Casting Rods
I've built 2 with single foot guides installed after a double foot stripper guilde. No rhyme or reason for me, just liked the rod that way.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
We'll see Mike, I'm very frustrated the last 2 years with not being able to fish much. I think I'm throwing in my sticks and calling it a nice 20 year memory. Any time you can catch a smallie is always good. Don't worry about losing lure to hang-ups, you're fishing in the right spots. Keep it up Bud!

Inflatable Boat
I can see it working in shallow ponds, but if you can wait I'd look for something a little bigger. I'm in my first inflatable, a 10' Zodiak with a yamaha 9.9 - bought used, 3 y/o. I keep it in the bay up in kennebunkport and tool around with the kids and fish out of it. I don't stray too far off the coast, but I do have confidence with it where I can take it out for distances and be in 30' feet of water. I'm in my 4th year with it and love it but I would love to upgrade as well. Good luck.

Another year going by and I haven't been able to get out much. Man, I only went fishing 4 times, just realized that my last outing was on July 3rd.

Writing Articles?
I wrote 2 articles for another site. I was on spinnerbait fishing and the other was on the versatility of a lipless crankbait. Come up with a topic and theme, write down about 3 or 4 bullet points you want to empahsize and write a paragraph on each bullet point. Tie them all in on the last paragraph. It was a lot of fun to do.

A First For Me
My first time as well. It happened on my second or third outing this year: Caught a pickerel on a Rapala Rippin Rap and then I realized I forgot my pliers. I'm holding the fish by the back of the neck with my left hand, and trying to get the belly hook out of the toothy critter's mouth with my right. The fish is thrashing like nobody's business and the rear hook gets buried in the finger tip of my ring finger of my right hand. I am now handcuffed, because I can't let go of the fish, it's thrashing way too much. I see a life guard...a young high school kid just getting on his summer vacation and getting on his shift...and ask for help. Hesitant, he asks what he can do? "PULL THE HOOK OUT OF MY FINGER!" Still hesitant, he starts to apply pressure on the barbed hook. "PULL IT!" He yanks and gets the hook out! "Geez mister, that's the biggest fish I've seen caught here....BTW...Do you have any diseases I should know about?" As he shows me the blood on his hands. Gotta give it to the kid, he helped me out and asked the right questions! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/102228-eastern-ma-fishing-reports/?p=1799641

Nice Article About My Family In The Paper Today
I was gonna ask the same question...Another one of J''s "you're pulling my leg" posts! LOL Actually, I do remember a post he made a post that mentioned he dropped the "T" because it was silent...just made the forum name easier for folks to pronounce, if I remember correctly. Anyway, what a great article to read. Kind of an article for "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" to read and record a show! Actually, I think Guy Fieri is a percussionist aficionado.

Weedless Spoons
I switch out the rear treble and add a Siwash, then use and old rubber worm or grub and cut it just long enough to t-rig without sacrificing the action of the spoon...sometimes I'll leave the tail section of the worm on for added attraction.

How To Make A Squeaky Buzzbait...?????
Take a steel rivet and soak it in a salt water solution for a few days. Take out and replace the aluminum rivet with the salt soaked one. Let it rust/oxidize more as you use your new sqeaky buzzbait. You did file some grooves in the steel rivet before you put it in the salt solution, right? I thought you did.
