Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I agree, I was hoping to get it done sooner rather later. My doc is dragging his feet on the x-rays, he's had them for a week now, so I'm getting impatient. He wants to check for arthiritis first, then have an MRI. I wanted to go right into MRI, but, what the heck, he's the doc. All I know is my deductible bills are starting to mount up...

I don't know what it is these days, but hip and knee replacement is getting more and more common. A good friend of mine is going in on the 16th of this month to get his done. Fairly young guy too. I'm just not looking forward to my older years if my knee needs attention now. Can't imagine 10 - 15 years from now what it's gonna be like. Hope you and the mrs. have a great holiday season gramps! Thanks for the well wishes.

That is strange Tom, the articular cartilage must be pretty healthy I would guess. My dad had a total knee replacement about 10 years ago because of osteoarthritis and he had zero cartilage left. Strange to say the least. Hope all is well Tom. Good luck at the docs!

Looks great Rhino! I went to the doc's about a week or so ago to have my knee checked out. It's been really sore and "clicking" for a few weeks now. Not your typical run of the mill achy knee. He thinks I have a torn meniscus...UGH! Had X-Rays done to see if its arthritis. Next is MRI. We'll see what happens. Hope you all are enjoying the holiday season!!

I followed the Eat Stop Eat I.F. protocol for a month and it does work. This is similar to the I.F. protocol that Fun4Me is following. You fast for a 24 hour period and then restart your normal eating habits after that. Best time for me was eat my last meal at 6 pm prior to your fast. Eat again the next day at 6pm so you're tricking yourself that you eat every day. Basically, I.F. is designed to reduce your weekly caloric intake by a days worth of calories. It really took its toll on my workout schedule tho, It really drained my energy levels for not only the day I fasted but for a day or 2 afterwards. It can be effective if you have the discipline to stay on it. I'd rather the 400 - 500 calorie blocks every 3 hours to maintain energy levels and supposedly, to amp up your metabolism. Science has not supported any diet out there, but for me, I stick with the old addage of burning more colories than that is consumed along with a training schedule that doesn't mean spending hours at the gym. 30 minutes a day, 5 day per week is what works for me.

Good luck gardnerjigman! I had my run at it over a year ago losing 30 plus lbs. I can't lift weights anymore but running treadmill and road is my mode of exercise these days. Learning how to mix exercise and nutrition takes time and discipline. Getting to the point of knowing how your body responds to different foods and workout schedules is where the discipline really pays off with your life style adjustment moving forward. Like so many mentioned above, after you achieve your goal, its about choices after that. Again, I wish you all the luck with your goal. John

Cowboys
The boys just got Matt Cassell in a trade...not earth shattering, but a back- up QB none the less.

Yeah, I hear ya. You're coming out of the dog daze of summer and the water temps are cooling, now's the time to speed up a bit, IMHO. Give it a whirl and see if your numbers tick up. Spinnerbaits, Lipless Cranks (my favorite), square bills...you get the picture. Let us know how you make out! Congrats on the PB!!!

Cowboys
I have to admit that I haven't watched a 'boys game this year, but you wonder how much they're going to miss DeMarco Murray now that Romo and Bryant are out for a bit. He carried quite a bit of the load for the 'boys the past couple of seasons.

Road To The Super Bowl!
At this point it's gonna be the Pats or the Bills winning the division. Still early to tell but as of right now,I don't see Miami or the J E T S making much noise.

Road To The Super Bowl!
As a Pats fan, I really hope the Bills become relevant again. I hope the whole AFC East becomes more competitive again. Some of the best football games I watched growing up have been AFC East match-ups. Say what you want about Rex Ryan, I personally think he's great for the game and provides real entertainment, especially during the week leading up to a Pats game. Sit back and enjoy a great game folks! I know I will.

Hey Andrew and welcome to Bass Resource. Unfortunately I was unable to make my way up this year due to work schedules, but we have a bunch great anglers here who have been a tremendous help to me over the years. Grab yourself a chair and enjoy your time here.

Brady Beats The Nfl
Touché my friend... Funny thing about it is the Patriots lost to the Jets earlier in the season because of the Tuck Rule.
