  1. Hooks and split rings in the big scheme of things are pretty inexpensive compared to the lure you got. Go fish the H311 out it and make some memories. Good luck!
  2. I always wanted to fish Sawdy. I have a friend on here who hasn't signed in for quite a while now, fishes it all the time. We were supposed to hit it but our schedules never worked together. Good Luck!
  3. LMAO! Not with my luck...Fricken police will show up within hours of taking the tag off the mattress. I'll stick with the tune-up. LOL
  4. I have some lipless cranks and jerkbaits from Janns and they account for a lot of my catches the last couple of years. The pumpkinseed lipless is my favorite lipless bait I own. I like the fact that you can add any hook you like and still get a bait for short money.
  5. It turns out that a good ol fashion tune-up did the trick. She's back to normal. slonezp...Ford
  6. I built my saltwater striper rod on a crankbait rod - as Batson mentions - that needed repair. I stripped all the components off and rebuilt using titanium framed guides as DVT mentions. I've been fishing with it for about 6 years now and still going strong. I'm sure you'll find someone here who can help you.
  7. I came out of the dealer and to a muffler shop...same price.
  8. Ironic (no pun intended) that you posted that Rhino, I had another person check my truck...he actually came up with the diagnostic initially...and he had me take it back to the dealer to see if it was warrantied. Anyway, he mentioned that in the past he's worked on vehicles that had a cat converter P430 code and he gave the vehicle and "old fashion" tune-up and the code went away. I've never had a cat converter go either in any of my vhicle, guess where my truck is now?
  9. I never tried it, it looks almost like a Rapala Sub Walk???
  10. A couple of weeks ago my "check engine" indicator came on and the truck had about 80,400 mi on it. I finally got it checked with 81,780 mi on it and the diagnostic came up with a P0430 code - a catalytic converter. The warranty on a catalytic converter is 8yrs/80,000 mi, so out of warranty and a $1,200 estimate from 2 places. IDK, I'm thinking "or what".
  11. Excellent post Toeshots, you explained it perfectly.
  12. That actually stinks, pork rind trailer on a jig in cold water is a favorite of mine.
  13. We used to c-rig a french fry worm when the fish got lock jaw. It was effective then and I'm sure those 3" Stick-O's would be as well today.
  14. Well at least the bald spot on top of my head is filling in with hair, I'm still scratching my head on that one...
  15. You know, sometimes when the water gets warm on the tail end of the spawn season, fishing a Jerkbait like a Crankbait has been very successful for me. Colder water, suspending bait, longer pauses. Warmer water quicker/harder jerks, quicker pauses. Don't for get to "pull" a jerkbait, meaning, pull the rod to the side and down is a very effective way to fish them. Topwater with a floating jerkbait. Fish it like you would a pooper. Good Luck!
  16. White on white spinnerbaits for those nice wind blown days.
  17. Keep throwing em until the fish stop biting. Don't be afraid to fish them in weeds either.
  18. To me they're 2 different lures. I have some of both...and may I suggest you should too!
  19. Great game between 2 AFC East rivals - Pats and Jets. Congrats to the Jets' overtime win against my Pats. We're on to Miami.
  20. LMAO!...I can't blame you, wouldn't either!
  21. Went out this morning for a couple of hours and nothing. It looked and felt like a front coming through which may have contributed to the outing. WHO CARES! How many times on Christmas Eve day in the Baystate are you going fishing in a t-shirt?!?! Anyway, the weather stabilized a bit in the afternoon and I ended up working out. Took a shower and threw on a pair of shorts and a baseball T-shirt and ended up throwing the baseball around with my son. Never, ever, done that on Christmas eve. My windows are still open! Love the weather, but I have a feeling our luck is running out! MERRY CHRISTMAS! John
  22. You learned your lesson, don't be posting them on here....
  23. Dafuq did I just read?
  24. Get your fishing in now, our overnight lows are going to be frigid next week.
  25. At least his name on his chest is spelled right....
