X2...On a football jig around rock for smallies. They have a bit of bulk to them, so jig drifting them in rivers was/is a great technique.

I don't get it....

Thankfully we're only getting about 4" out of this. We feel pretty lucky considering we're 20 miles SW of Boston and we're usually getting clobbered this time of year. Last year at this time we were getting hit with one storm after the other. I had just finished clearing the driveway for the 3rd time that day and I was standing on the bed of my truck taking this pick. There's a fence under the snowbank somewhere: Good Luck Folks!.

I honestly think that a few years ago there was one hook better than the next, but for me, I think the playing fields leveled out. I personally like Gammy, Owner, VMC and Eagle Claw. When I do have to change out treble hooks because of use, I have a stash of Daiichi Death Traps that I bought a few years back and have been using them up. Still like em even though they fell off the favorite band wagon with most peeps.

With all the rain coming in tomorrow, I would think whatever skim ice formed will be pretty much gone...Saturday afternoon and/or Sunday looks like your best bet.
