Put some lights on the house to go with the wreaths and you've got a Christmas Card, or a photo for a calendar (January or February).

  • I was thinking about how that is a beautiful house..

1.5" in kansas. Stay safe out east boys.

8" in western Kentucky.

Just had  "huge" snow/ice storm with about an inch or two on the ground, all frozen solid. The whole state is shut down and the governor declared it an "emergency." But 4 people did die, so it is serious. I'm used to it from living in MN though.

Last I looked, about two hours ago, we had 8 inches.

And it is still coming down in Richmond.

I'm in the bad spot in PA. Around 24" or so right now but still coming. They're calling for up to 38" where I live

Thankfully we're only getting about 4" out of this. We feel pretty lucky considering we're 20 miles SW of Boston and we're usually getting clobbered this time of year.

Last year at this time we were getting hit with one storm after the other. I had just finished clearing the driveway for the 3rd time that day and I was standing on the bed of my truck taking this pick. There's a fence under the snowbank somewhere:

Good Luck Folks!.

About to dig out the hunting boots to clear my car.  We have well over a foot last I checked here in Philly.

Probably around 8" in central ky. It's blown around a lot though so it's hard to tell. A lot deeper in spots. The sun is shining now.

Ice is no joke. I had a close call with some last week. As for Indy, we've got nothing to show for this. Too bad, I was hoping to shoveling driveways. Make some extra $$

I thought I saw some snow flurries here last night but it was just lint on my glasses lens.... :(

Ditto in northern VA.

Why did I move here after college?

Why have I stayed here for 16 years since?

I did that a lot in MN. Not uncommon to make over $200 in a day. People will consistently pay 20-30 bucks for a 30 minute job on their driveway. It adds up fast.

I have 20" here in the Pocono Mountains in NE PA. Really not that big of a deal for this area.

I don't even charge a standard fee. Sometimes I get 5, other times, the older guy really likes ya and gives ya 50. Mostly the latter, and then you really win.

That white stuff is cotton candy ?

About a foot.  Still snowing, but should wind down in the next two hours.  Should have a sunrise tomorrow a.m. and less wind.  Between our driveways and the neighbors I've got about three hours of snow blowing to get things cleaned up.

It has beaten the previous record for snowfall, 32"@ 7pm has been recorded here at the airport

Just a couple inches but the 1/4" of ice below it makes up for the lack of snow.

The total we have had this winter is somewhere around 3.5".  We usually get at least one big storm each winter.
