There was something about the intro to Sanford & Son that I liked. A-Team Get Smart

Desean Jackson....released
There were reports from our news outlets that the Patriots were looking to trade for him. There was also 1 other team, which escapes my mind that wanted to do the same thing. Not sure what happened there and why a trade was never made, but there was speculation that the Eagles wanted to get younger at that position. Not sure if that's true, but that was reported on our news outlets.

Words Can Hurt
When my wife asks why I need more fishing "crap", as she would put it, I tell her that I knew it would strike up a very good conversation between us. It's something we don't get to do too much since we had kids...She walks away, conversation over...LOL See Raider, win win, she wants nothing to do with fishing and I get piece and quiet play with my fishing toys...

Jokes - Let's Have Some Fun
Redneck Vacation Billy Bob and Luther were talking one afternoon when Billy Bob tells Luther, "Yaw know, I reckon I'm 'bout ready for a vacation. Only this year I'm gonna do it different. The last few years, I took your advice about where to go. Three years ago you said to go to Hawaii. I went to Hawaii and Earlene got pregnant. Then two years ago, you told me to go to the Bahamas, and Earlene got pregnant again. Last year you suggested Tahiti and darned if Earlene didn't get pregnant again." Luther asks Billy Bob, "So, what you gonna do this year that's different?" "I'm taking Earlene with me".

Any Plumbers In The House?
In my experience, it's usually more on the hot water side than cold.

Tuf - Line Supercast
I'm sure there have been treads posted about this, but I really don't venture in this section very often. I used 20# test all last year on 2 b/c rigs with virtually no problems, what's you opin on this line?

What Is The Worst Thing You've Ever Eaten?
There was a show on the Travel Channel a while back that had this on the show. I never heard of it before and I like cod, so it caught my interest. The show basically illustrated how it was prepared and cooked. The next thing you know, the host of the show was almost gagging saying it tasted like a gelatinous mess sliding down your throat. I got queasy just listening to him describe the taste!

Baitcaster Reel Cleaning
I may have to give ATF a try if it means less maintenance. Thx Bud.

Baitcaster Reel Cleaning
Thanks for all your responses, looks like it's a constant maintenance problem, so I'll be staying the course I always have and oil it up and clean as needed.

Baitcaster Reel Cleaning
Just a quick question, when you clean you line guide assembly, do you grease the worm shaft and line guide pawl or oil them? I'm finding that oiling them after a cleaning gives me better results, although, I still take the whole assembly apart 2-3 times a year to clean and re-oil. Just way too much debris gets in there, especially during the pollen season. Your thoughts?

Buying A Rod Is Hard
You have a very good discussion here SirSnook, so many rod company that label their rod for specific technique have really "dumb down" the fishing consumer, IMHO. I like your approach to selecting a rod. I build rods for myself and always try to strive for a rod that not only does what it's designed for, but I try and keep versatility in mind. Before epoxy coating the guides, I try and cast different lures at different weights to get the best cast I can. A rather tedius process, but I'm not into spending free time building rods, but rather fishing with them. Good luck in your search.
