  1. clear creek, mill creek, housen, six mile, indian mounds... etc
  2. i let the fish tell me what they want so i throw everything equal. I would rather throw jigs and soft plastics thats my style.. the only lure i really like fishing is a lipless crankbait only because i fish it more like a jig but faster by letting it fall into the grass then ripping it out
  3. green pumpkin, watermelon, watermelon red, red bug , black and blue
  4. looking forward to the report jack
  5. that makes sense, ive been taking advantage of this low water for the past several months. Alot of times i have been leaving the ranger on the trailer and taking my brothers duck hunting boat out and getting way back in some places and then walking the rest of the way. I find it pretty awesome going to several places where i have caught fish and seeing what the fish where holding on to and why. I have found so many humps, ridges, and depressions in the last couple of months its awesome.. i have like 300 pictures saved on my camera i hope everyone else is taking advantage of this opportunity.
  6. yea i guess i really don't need it i use a lamiglas SR 765R and its a outstanding deep crankin rod just thought i have that powell for backup
  7. Has anyone used the Powell 806CB? i was thinking about picking one up since they are on sale just for the hell of it. I already have a great deep crankin rod but for $124 i figured i could use it as a back up or something. But the one thing thats keepin me from getting it is i have friend who had the Powell spook/trap rod an i did not like it at all.
  8. good list that should eliminate so many of the same post lol
  9. catt lets talk about this low water and if it continues on into the spawn. Will it concentrate the fish more of will they just spawn deeper.
  10. if any pitchin of flippin is involved i wouldn't get the cardiff.. ill tell a little story i was fishing a tournament and me and my partner were on a really good flippin bite pitchin to the outside of this grass line well i get a bite set the hook and SNAPP there goes my flippin stick so i scramble in the rod locker for my carolina rig rod which is a pretty stout 7'6 rod and i have a calcutta on it which is basically the same as the cardiff. i cut off the leader and tied on my jig, went to go pitch an realized that the bar that goes across the reel gets in the way and you cant let your thumb ride on the spool very uncomfortable.. sorry for the long pointless story just thought it might help. point don't get the cardiff if you want to flip or pitch very uncomfortable
  11. i usually use a 17lb test fluorocarbon with a 12lb-15lb fluorocarbon leader
  12. you should check out pro lockers http://www.prolockeroutdoors.com/3001.html Mike McClelland's dad started these things pretty sweet.
  13. me toooo i hated that line, trilene big game
  14. no i thought the same thing before i got them but actually they feel more sturdy. since they are so small there is no real leverage you can put on them to bend them.
  15. I was thinking the same thing at first. My 7'3 MH Casting rods arrived yesterday. To me they are perfect senko and jig rods, and texas rig rods. Ill use them more then any other rod. Of course everybody is different. I hae to always consider that I may hook a 10+ on the next cast. Once I got a reel, line and bait on the rod it felt like a MH. I should add that Im a line watcher when senko fishing. yea i was just saying most people like that action rod for senko fishing.. But i agree with you i have two senko rods one is a 7ft heavy action rod i use for throwing around timber and brush which down here on the bend there is alot of timber!! but there is also huge flats and when im fishing flats i throw a senko on a 7'6 power tackle rod pg 104.. its better on the flats for making long casts and the length also helps get a good hook set on those long cast
  16. i have some of the falcon Cara T7 micro rods and i like them more contact points on the rod = more sensitivity
  17. yea the lure range on the veritas is off.. i would get the 7ft medium
  18. oakleys for sure! i have both costas and oakleys, all around i like the oakleys better. one of the reasons is the costas frame curve to your ear well i dont like that since i wear my sunglasses tucked in my hat and the oakleys have a straight frame so it makes them alot more comfortable
  19. x2 i havent even attempted to count my boxs or bags lol lets just say i ran out of room in my normal storage room at my camp so i had to convert one of the bedrooms and turn it into a second tackle room.. i keep rubbermaid and ULINE in business lol
  20. while seaguar Invizx is a great line that is very manageable with low memory it has alot of stretch..
  21. im pumped they will be at my home lake also!! cant wait to sign up to be a marshal
  22. i was at my BPS bout a month ago and they have the rods in house.. they had the H3, the wreckin stix, and the team series.. the hook keeper is just a hole drill into the trigger
  23. another vote for remington 870
  24. agree under armours are the most comfortable shoes ive ever worn
