  1. dan i sent you a pm check it out
  2. i own the core MgFV mounted on a power tackle flippin stick rod and i love it.. the core is the best choice imo you wont regret it
  3. i would recommend getting some bc setups...ALOT! i only own one spinning setup and that is my dropshot rig.. it depends alot on where you are fishing also, i fish toledo bend and sam rayburn, and on these two top east texas lakes baitcasting is preferred over spinning
  4. catt lets talk about this place.. N 31.23495 W 93.65083 there are always guys fishing in the boat lane in front of mcgee flats.. i have never really stop to really investigate it with my electronics.. but im guessing either deep grass or a good drop off?
  5. ranger 251 this is the website http://mapper.acme.com/ i highly recommend that you use this site.. it will help tremendously
  6. Are you by chance related to TeamGolija?... i was thinkin the same
  7. excuse me caught the four biggest in white oak and caught my kicker in indian mounds
  8. great explanation and i love that pattern i won a tournament this year with all 5 fish coming from white oak cove, (i call it a feeder lock cove) the way they stage in there. i actually caught a 7.42 casting over that fallen tree in the second cut. i like to use community and white oak cove as indicators, they are right by each other and makes it real easy to tell what the fish are doing and what they are holding on. makes it easier to establish a particular pattern
  9. its called punching and you are punching through thick grassmats.. will go into further detail later im work right now lol
  10. well nobody responded to the post really until now lol so i didnt know and got the optimas but i only paid 190 a piece for them instead of 260 the normal selling price so i guess my question now is did i get a good deal for the price
  11. get the curado then it has the quick 1/8 turn on the sideplate and its a better reel imo. but the revo s is easy to i mean it takes about 8 seconds to adjust the brakes on a revo s but yes the curado is easier
  12. if your set on the revo i would get the revo s... imo i think the revo sx is worse due to the mag brakes not a fan of mag brakes
  13. two nice humps to the right then the flats with the road bed through it
  14. oh yea i forgot about that sorry catt those were great post. ok new topic
  15. personally i don't know why so many people say that they only throw a senko when they can't get a bite? I have caught some of my heaviest limits on nothing but senkos.. but then again i guess it has alot to do with what you feel comfortable with.. im a jig and soft plastics guy thats what my confidence is in. i still throw cranks and all treble hook lures but jigs and soft plastics FOR ME catches more and bigger bass
  16. how about how to properly fish offshore structure, how to find it, what is the best kind, and how to find fish on offshore structure then how to pick it apart piece by piece to get to the hawgs
  17. i own the SR 765R paired with a curado e5 and it is absolutely the best deep crankin rod ive ever owned.. its well worth it
  18. get the lowrider way better rod
  19. a ranger is very fancy? it took a nitro then a skeeter before i got my ranger comanche and theres no turning back
  20. optima blue top size 31
  21. im just not a big fan of the mag brakes.. ok when i got this reel i really didn't know what i was going to use it for. well i decided i could always use a back up combo for throwing unweighted senkos, so i spooled it up with trilene 100% fluorocarbon matched it up with a falcon cara. i was at the lake and went to test it out first cast major backlash so i made some adjustments and again major backlash over and over again. now i know what some might be thinking but no ive been using baitcasting since i was knee high to a duck and all i own is baitcasting reels except my dropshot setup, my point, i know what im doing. i don't know it just doesn't seem to compare to a shimano.. i have nothing against revos like i said i have two others and they are good reels just not the sx
  22. ill say one thing about housen to also help you figure it out and that word is flats... now you will see a ton of boats on the these flats but start fishing them and pay close attention to your electronics and you will figure out what sets some places on these flats apart from other places. im not saying that the flats are the only place to fish in housen but...
  23. ill pay you to take my revo sx off my hands! maybe i got a dud i don't know. im a shimano guy but i did buy the revo s which is a good reel imo, i won a sx and a premier, the sx being the worst reel ive owned but then again it is a good deal on that rod and reel combo
  24. ahhh i believe we should leave those two alone they are horrible places to fish
