  1. definitely not a fan of the mojo i bought one to use as a cheap frog rod and they are heavy but i love falcon rods i can honestly say i enjoy my falcon rods over my gloomis rods.. the bucoos are a little heavier than the caras and the guides are different but overall i would go with the falcon
  2. power pro is a thing of the past.. but i wouldnt put braid on all you setups. it floats and is very visible dont get me wrong braid has its place but not for all your setups
  3. ok here we go i ended up jumping on the revo band wagon and they are no where near the quality as my shimanos i bought the revo s and won the revo sx(worst reel ive ever owned) and the revo stx. its funny the baseline revo s is the best out of all of them. but if i was you i would really look into the shimano core series they are the best and out performed any reel ive ever owned
  4. catt i would really like to bring this thread back to how it began with you teaching toledo so with that i think we should start all over with summer fishing because thats where i seem to struggle a little bit. dont get me wrong ive got the summer night fishing down because if we go out and dont get at least a 25lb sack then we had a bad night! but anyway ive always had a little trouble when the heat is up and its in the middle of summer.. last year in a tournament in july i remember struggling to get my limit and it wasnt even a good one. with that being said i know where the this very steep ledge is N 31.19904 W 93.62516 and was wondering if you know what ledge im talkin about and if you have fished it with any success
  5. i own the BPS 100 mph suit and it is amazing for those long cold rides but when fishing i find them a little to stiff so i got the pro qualifier top and it is very nice to have both but if you just need something simple i would go with the pro qualifier top and a cheap pair of pants
  6. if thats the two you are deciding on the i would absolutely go with the falcon trust me!!!! you will be way more satisfied
  7. the water on the south end usually is the clearest but that doesn't necessarily make it harder to fish. But this year the lake turned over in January and still has not completely cleared up.. the south end kinda has a light tan color to it kinda like the color of rayburn.. but as far as making it harder no i would fish the same way you fish six mile
  8. 100-150 falcon lowriders
  9. catt whats the bite been like? havent been up there in about 2-3 weeks heading up there tomorrow night i cant believe that 13 was caught in 8-10ft of water figured the pigs would be a little deeper by now
  10. SHIMANO the revos are also good but i don't think they compare to shimano.. and quantum well you couldn't pay me to use another one!!! junk
  11. palomar or the double palomar
  12. crankbaits and Carolina rigs are complete opposites when it comes to rod action.. crankbaits you want a mod action rod with alot of flex to it so it can work the crank properly and it will help keep the bass hooked up when the want jump.. c-rig you want a stiffer rod so you can drive the hook home on long and deep cast. are you deep crankin or throwing shallow cranks?
  13. You know it is a funny thing about these "new" techniques, they seem to have started when someone gave them a catchy name. I can remember back in the sixties when they were hooking the Creme crawler like that and just saying they were side hooked. I'll never forget the first time someone showed it to me, I thought it was dumb until I watched the action in the water. exactly right the original "wacky worm" was a grape creme worm on a gold crappie hook

  15. owner wacky hooks are the best for wacky style.. one advantage is the way it is shaped. take a look at it and you will see the difference between the owner wacky and the gama finesse tell me what you see and yes the wacky rig can be used in 10ft of water or any depth! i fish toledo bend mostly (where the wacky worm started) and the wacky worm is a prob one of the deadliest tools there is! just remember one thing with the wacky worm... patience
  16. xps is great line it has just a tad bit more memory that seaguar but overall it is one of the better fluorocarbons
  17. Hands down the core is the best choice! im a hardcore shimano guy but i did get a revo and received two more as gifts, revo s, revo sx(worst), and a revo premier... they don't dont hold a candle next to my cores. as far as durability i have some of the first curados and they still cast just as good as when i got i first got them.
  18. Catt if your looking into mill creek bay is it on the right or the left? on the left theres that underwater point thats cover with rocks (rock island)?
  19. N 31.20458 W 93.66177 thats my camp you can see it on acme mapper
  20. bigtimefish the south end is a very good part of the lake.. my camp is in paradise point so thats my stomping ground and where i cut my teeth.. like catt suggested mill creek is great.. i can also show you more spots that will produce great fish.
  21. Thanks Catt i cant wait to try this spot out.. havent been that far up the lake yet! never had too! most productive for me is always from indian mounds all the way down to mill creek and that that certain bay in between that always produces monsters
  22. Catt have you ever fished N 31.45337 W 93.73550 (acme mapper)
