  1. curado is hard to beat.. hands down the curado IS the best reel under $200 but if your tempted..... get a core my first core was a gift from my fiance then i went on a core binge.. i own 5 now i promise you wont regret it
  2. some agree to disagree... i would just get a core really though my pflueger after one year has this clackin noise and just doesnt feel right. now i know everyone is going to say well you take better care of your things but thats not the case i take extremely good care of all my things and in my opinion shimano last longer than every reel ive tried..
  3. curado no questions asked!!! they are both good reels but the curado imo is way better.. and will last ALOT longer
  4. under armour

  7. agreed, falcon rods are the best mid priced rods you can buy and that is a great price.. do they have any falcon T7's on sale? if so i would jump on the deal
  8. are you wanting to deep crank or throw shallow cranks and square bills?
  9. ive been looking for a new rippin rod also. i was using my deep crankin rod lamiglas SR765R but action isnt right for it. ive been looking a the powell spook and trap rod, anybody used this rod before?
  10. falcon cara T7 or falcon lowriders
  11. if you were going to spend the extra money i would get a falcon T7
  12. Catt your goin to love falcon, i fish falcon T7 rods almost exclusively since laid my hands on them.. of course i had to get two loomis rods but in my opinion ill take my falcons over them and my st.croix rod any day
  13. ahhhhh yes one of my favorites! carolina rig always produces for me their
  14. forget magnetic brakes just get a core... you'll never look back
  15. alwayslooking that is a well know spot i fish it quite regularly because my camp is N 31.20499 W 93.66027 so im right there and clear creek is and good place to fish.. i usually fish it earlier in the year and i actually like to fish a little right of where you marked it.. i usually throw a jig there because there is a decent amount of underwater timber and i like to drop that jig through there but i have also caught bass there on t-rig.. if you want to catch schooling bass then bass always school on the point N 31.18995 W 93.66632 and out on the timber edge N 31.19388 W 93.65905 you cant see it but there is a big timber field right there. back to the spot you were talking about ive never fished it this time of year because i have other spots that produce great for the current conditions
  16. spro colors: black, white, and natural green
  17. its all personal preference.. and what you grew up around has alot to do with it also. for me its falcon rods and shimano reels(mainly cores and curados) i cant offer much input on spinning tackle because its really not that popular down hear other than drop shot rigs and crappie fishing. but i have tried most all brands and falcon rods are the best to me i even replaced some of my gloomis rods with falcon. as far as reels go i havent found a reel that will outperform a shimano core
  18. just got back from the bend and had a chance to relax from the seriousness of the sport and brought my fiance fishing for the schoolies.. let me tell you we had a blast! the topwater bite this time of year is great on the bend. just focus on points with deep water near by and after they come up in a frenzy follow up with a t-rig or a medium or deep diving crankbait.. also the night fishing is improving
