More Setups Vs. Better Setups
Quality is the best way to go... if you choose quantity what happens is that junk that worked fine when you first got it wont make through a year or two of fishing... it also depends on what you define a quality. to me i like both quality and quantity!!! but im a tackle junkie and having 25 setups in my boat suits my style cause im on the water so much i need equipment that will take the abuse i put mine through so quality to me is a reel that is at least a minimum of $250 and a rod that is a minimum of $200 but if you dont fish like that then you might not need expensive equipment like that

Shimano Scorpion reels
Redsyn thanx for the info i love cores! by far my favorite reel now its good to know that the scorpion is very similar i think im def going to give it a try instead of getting another core( i have a core addiction)
-
Grrr...hating life right now
try using a blood knot that not has never failed me.. yes i would try using 12 to 15lb seaguar invisx of trilene 100% professional grade those are the two best fluorocarbons
-
Shimano Scorpion reels
i was looking at the new scorpion xt 1000 just to try out a new reel.. i kinda have a rod and reel addiction lol but i have heard some people say that its just an overpriced curado is this true?
-
Shimano Scorpion reels
does anyone have one of these reels or used one of them?
-
lamiglas exel
for a little bit more money you could get a falcon and i promise you will not be disappointed
-
lamiglas exel
trust me compared to my falcon and loomis rods the excel rods are heavy..
-
ABU Revo Premier or Shimano CORE, which one???
the core all the way!!! i own five cores and they are the best reels ive used and i have used alot! dnt get me wrong i own a revo s, revo sx(worst reel ever), and a revo premier. the revo premier is a good reel but trust me it doesnt compare to the core. spend the extra money and get the core you be glad you did
-
lamiglas exel
my brother just got the 7'3 lamiglas excel and it seems real heavy to me.. i own one lamiglas rod the SR 765R 7'6" its my deep crankin rod and its a little heavy to but its a fiberglass rod so thats normal other than that i they are a great rod company.. give falcon a look

200e7 vs. Patriarch vs. HSTA.. OR ZILLION?
curado is the only way to go.. i gave pflueger a chance ive had three of them and all three locked up within 1 to 2 years. i do alot of tournament fishing but i take care of my stuff so they should last longer than that.. i still have 2 old curados when they first came out yep they still work just fine..
-
Shimano or Abu Garcia Bait Caster
go with the curado... ive always been a shimano guy but recently bought a revo s and a revo sx.. let me say that the revos are great reels but they dont compare to my cores and curados
-
Best Baitcaster For Under $200
curado all the way! some other reels might seem as smooth as the curado in that price range but none will last as long as the curado.. thats what sets shimano apart from the rest
-
Cheap Fluorocarbon....???
whatever you do dont go with sufix flurocarbon!! that line is the worst fluro ive ever used and i have used them all!
-
best reel for froggin'?
i use a revo s ($129) on my frog rod since i dont throw a frog that often plus it has i think 24lbs of drag to pull whatever through the slope. the core 100MgFv is awesome to i have one on my flippin rod but thats if you wana spend $379 for a frog set up
-
carrot sticks...
there are way better rods in that price range.. give falcon cara t7 or falcon lowriders a try. i have rods from $50 to $500 and let me tell you i would trade in my gloomis and my megabass rods before i let my falcon caras go! and faclon caras are just as light if not lighter than carrot stix.

Oakleys
i own a pair of costas and straight jackets........ OAKLEY STRAIGHT JACKETS ALL THE WAY
-
Can't decide on new reel
i am an all out shimano man but i never liked the citica to much compared to the cores and curados which is all i use. but i won a revo s and im actually impressed with it! its def smoother than the citica
