  1. I have used both but lately use only my baitcaster.
  2. The first glimpse of the fish closely followed by holding it in my hands.
  3. How well do the Mattlures hold up?
  4. Sweet. When I lived in Ohio I did a lot of fishing on Lake Erie but I always loved going to the Maumee River when the big Walleyes came in to spawn.
  5. I have got to get to Florida. They are one beautiful fish. What are the best regions in Florida to find Peacocks?
  6. I was thinking the same thing I would love to hear more about the catch.
  7. So what did you switch to?
  8. Another vote for the Palomar, simple and strong
  9. Try a Duo-lock snap
  10. 1/2 - 3/4 spinners Swimming Senkos with a 1/4 oz nose weight 5" Swimbaits

Another vote on the Ribbit. Maybe it's me but that is the only frog that consistently works for me.
  12. Swimbaits for me The bass are in feeding on the Blue Gills and I slip a swim bait in there an I have been having great success. They have been watching the spinner baits go by.
  13. I don't have a Curado but do have a Citica and I absolutely love it. My fishing buddy has the Curado and I guess I am frugal but not worth the extra $ "for me"
  14. LOL...LOL...LOL...LOL Are you serious? What a sight that must have been! Yes dead serious. There was all sorts of quacking going on and as they appeared to run on top of the water for 10 feet or so.
  15. He you brought back some memories. I had a 12' on back in the late 70's and 80's. We had a ball with it. I would not mind a transom mount now with a trolling motor on it.
  16. I agree as well. On of the spots I fish here in Texas is a co-workers 6 acre pond that sounds like yours. The only thing he added so years back is some Blue Gill but he asks for the small Bass to be removed. He must be doing something right because there are some big bass in there.
  17. So sweet. This reminded me, I was fishing in Maine several years back in a canoe, it was early morning admiring the scenery as we paddled. We were watching a mother and several baby ducks crossing in front of us when "bam" one less baby duck.
  18. I have been using straight retrieve with great success with the Storm.
  19. I too have had amazing success with these. I found a nice private pond that I have been fishing and the water was clear. I could pass everything in my bag in front of the large bass but no interest. I observed them taking several Blue Gill so I tried these and was not disappointed. Good thing these are affordable because as mentioned don't hold up. My problem with them is the tails. They just don't swim right after the tail is gone.
