Hmmm, so if I took just the blanks of a lightning rod, and a crucial, and put the tip on my driveway for both, so the weight doesn't play a factor, and dragged them up my drive way they would feel the same? I'd think i'd feel alot more with the Crucial blank.

If you like 08 you'll like 09 better. Alot of more adjustments. Im just glad EA lost their strangle on the nascar market, I mean generic cars? And that wouldnt really be a problem if the racing was good, but all the AI did was drive around single file, and not even pass. I really do have high hopes for this game.

I agree line is definitely a BIG factor in sensitivity, but your rod does play a big role in the sensitivity department. My old lightning rods w/ braid vs. My Crucial w/ braid, im going to have more sensitivity with the Crucial every time.

He is wayyyyy off. Pure Fishing and Quantum have completely different styling, and completely different braking systems. Saying they're made by the same person is like saying Daiwa and Shimano are made by the same person. They're obviously not.

I disagree. I think the only difference in blanks is weight and crispness. Both of these have a secondary effect on sensitivity but nether of them tie in directly to making a rod sensitive. Now it use to be that if you only fished with mono a blank made a big difference. But braid and fluocarbon have made that no longer the case. I'm not saying that a cheap rod is just as sensitive as an expensive rod. There are other factors than just a blank and line that makes a more or less sensitive. What I am saying is that a blank doesn't make a rod more sensitive. I'm not making this up. There are pros who think the same way So a Lightning rod blank is as good as a NFC blank? :-? I think blanks do make a difference IMO.

I don't think the type of rod affects sensitivity of the blank. I think it boils down to more of personal preference.

There WILL be a NASCAR video game coming out in February. Looks pretty darn good 8-) If your a Nascar game fan you'll probably be happy as well, because there has been a long dry spell of no NASCAR games. Its made by Activision and Eutechnyx? Some European brand but i'm hoping for the best. The last 7 or so EA Nascar games have been disappointments IMO. NASCARthegame.com

Yeah I know, i've been watching ESPN and eating Boo Berry all morning 8-) so I know the reverso ordero deal. But I think he'll get passed up and the Pats will pick him back up. I saw some kits on Cabelas for a St.Croix rod building kit, with an SCIII blank and every thing included. I think it would be a lot of fun to build my own rod, but are the components good? I know the blank will be superb, but what about the guides, thread wrap, epoxy etc??
