Sensitivity, Separating The Reality From The Propaganda
I know what your talking about. I think its because when I feel a bite, or a fish pick up my bait, my brain automatically thinks of the noise I use when describing a bite. Like tum thum thump. or whatever it is. I think its a mind thing. Unless we're talking about two different things... Every noise is just vibrations though. Maybe the vibrations are going through our bones and into the ear.

Oakley Sunglasses
I have a pair I wear when i'm not fishing, and doing other stuff in the sun. They're great lenses for doing everyday things, and look good too. They're not as clear though (not glass) but they're hard to break, and nice and light! I also like o-matter, and being able ton interchange lenses. But when i'm doing anything when i'm on the water, or out all day in the sun, I wear my costas. My eyes dont hurt nearly as bad at the end of the day with Costas

Mudhole Blanks
Can anyone compare the Mudhole blanks to a production rod, weight and sensitivity wise? I've been thinking about getting a custom build on a MHX or HM-MHX, but wanted to hear what they're like from someone who maybe uses them. Also, is it worth it just to go up in price to the HM vs. the MHX? Thanks

Questions, Suggestions, Opinions, Whatever You Guys Can Offer
I was pertaining more to casters, but I do like the CI-4. Daiwas upper-end spinning reels are way over priced for what they are IMO. However in the 100 and less category, I think SHIMANO wins for spinning reels.

Questions, Suggestions, Opinions, Whatever You Guys Can Offer
If you think Lew's and SHIMANO are good wait until you try a comparable Daiwa

Yozuri Hybrid Vs Fluorcarbon
Its not as sensitive as 100% fluoro, but it's close enough, that it is one of my favorite lines now. Plus the price tag is AWESOME! I cant 600 yds for something like 15$

Questions, Suggestions, Opinions, Whatever You Guys Can Offer
The Curado 200E and 50E especially are great reels. I dont think they are over hyped at all. However, they are recommended A LOT. and for good reason, they are nice reels. However, I will say this forum has a bit of a SHIMANO bias, and a posse, so you will see more SHIMANOS (esp. the curados) being recommended more than other reels.

2 Years And 4 Days
2 Years and four days ago, I joined the Bass Resource forum looking for some answers on what to get for my first decent combo. I can't find that thread anymore, but I know I got some of the most friendly, educated, and helpful advice in many many pages. 3,300 posts later, i'm still kickin, and you guys are still #1 on my most frequented websites. The knowledge I've gained has been tremendous, and believe it or not, I sucked at fishing too, haha. Th cumulative knowledge on this website is unfathomable, and I can truly say that of all the forums I've belonged on, I've never been on one this nice, and friendly. Even when there is a heavy debate, it's just a debate about the subject, nothing more. And a shoutout to all the moderators, and many more that I cant remember off the top of my head. You all have done a fantastic job at doing what you do, I've never personally moderated a forum myself, but I can imagine "It's not easy, being cheesy." And a big thank you to Glenn, who keeps the site up and running. Without you, this post would never be made, none of us would have any the bond that we do, and more importantly, millions of fisherman worldwide would probably not be as succesful, or as interested in the sport of bass fishing as they are today. Also, to our sponsors, without you, well, I don't know if we would be where we are today, but you all have certainly helped, in many ways, and I am never shy to recommend a product of yours, as a sponsor of Bass Resource. In fact, I use over 14 of our sponsors regularly, and the list seems to be ever growing. I have actually switched most of my hooks to Mustad over from Gamakatsu, mainly because they support the site I love, and they make a better hook IMO. Either way, I love this place, 2 years, 3,300 posts, and i'll still be coming back for more.

Revo Big Shooter?
Looks like a nice swimbait reel.

Fishing With...food?
Catfish like hotdogs. Also if you want to make a home-made bait ball for the kittys, take a can of refried beans and jam a bunch of holes in it using a screwdriver. Then toss it out into the water. However that's illegal. So do it at your own risk.

Nachos

Hockey Tape?...
I like white on my lacrosse sticks, and don't care how it looks dirty. After all, I can always retape to get the clean look. Can't clean cork back to factory. I'll give it a shot later today.

Swimmin' Super Flukes
I usually go to one of those, but the fluke bite has just been on fire here all year.
-
Swimmin' Super Flukes
I like to do this in open water as well. But there's a lot of vegitation down where I fish alot so I opt for a texas rig. I there a way to rig it more weedless with still a nose hook? I tried the weedless hooks, just not a match for the nasty weeds.

Swimmin' Super Flukes
I too enjoy the smoke shad color in the swimming fluke. Usually a moderate retrieve with some small sweeps of the rod involved. This will speed it up for a second then let it die for a second, then back to regular, then repeat.

Hockey Tape?...
I have white and black Renfrew hockey tape if it makes a difference.

Issue With Lew's
It sounds like your spool is not engaging to the pinion gear via the spool pin. When I first had my curado I had the same issue. There was some excess grease on the spool pin from the factory lube, and instead of clicking in it would just stick on top of the pinion gear and not get set into the groove until a few rotations of the handle. Take the spool out, and clean the spool pin area with a q tip, and put a drop of oil on it. Do the same for just the surface area of the pinion. Solved my reel 100%
