  1. Another line you'll find popular is Trilene 100%. Its a good general purpose fluoro in my opinion, and Its very good in the 10-12# size. If i'm going any lighter than than I'll use InvizX, any heavier and I usually like XPS fluoro.
  2. Bass Pro makes a nice Fluoro for a decent price, but my heart is with Seagaur for now, I just really love their fluorcarbon lines.
  3. I agree with the above posters. Why rule out Seagaur? They make the best "readily available" fluorocarbons.
  4. I would encase that jig and trailer in a glass show case. Imagine if all that power got out to the general public, or if you lost it
  5. I'd say a nice M or ML with an Extra Fast tip. Powell makes very nice rods in your price range, and I think they are your best option ( I own two). you can check them out at Tackle Warehouse.
  6. Im using a Powell Endurance 6'7" MH/XF for spinnerbaits, A little more length than a 6'6" which I like, but not too long. I like a shorter rod for my spinners for more accurate casts around cover, and even though I prefer a 7.X, i'm rolling with a Fuego, so something like 6.4:1 is what i'm using. As for line, I'm always gonna be throwing 12# yo-zuri hybrid or 17# flourocarbon, I prefer InvizX.
  7. Is it actual moisture IN the lense? Or is it just when you put them on your face, they get fog/condensation. I dont see how moisture could get in a glass lens in the first place, but thats off topic. If it's just fog/condensation, yes, that completely normal for glass lenses. I may suggest applying an anti-fog coating to see if that helps.
  8. Well let me start off with this, how much would you ideally like to spend on each combo?
  9. My shimano M/XF felt like a ML/XF, so shimano's are over-rated in terms of power. I wouldn't go with a crucial, however I think a St. Croix MH will fit the bill nicely. My 7MHF Avid feels pretty good for jigs 1/2-3/4, and some of my bigger techniques.
  10. The 50E 's really are where it's at. I love mine with all my heart <3 But if you want to go the used route, look for a used Daiwa Zillion. They are the bee's knees as they say.
  11. They were at a Local Expo not to long ago, and were still kicking.
  12. Cant always have your pie and eat it too, flouro is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. XPS is the cheapest, and goes on sale frequently and can be picked up for ~15$. If you dont want to spend alot on line, make a compromise and get Yo-Zuri Hybrid. Its a fluoro coated line, and is a lot cheaper than 100% fluoro, and miles better than Vanish, Red Label, and all the other cheap fluoros out there. Plus 12# line breaks at something like 19.5#s
  13. Hit 70 so far this afternoon around my house, but have to work today Will have to settle for a high of 60 tomorrow, but the bite should be better then, give it some extra time after the rains.
  14. We recently just got an upgrade as descibed. I am excited.
  15. Or if you save 50$ more, you can simply buy a much better product for the money, that is 10 fold better. I do alot of this, and there is a reason for it.
  16. There's one in every crowd that will shout "Yu needz to buy teh uuber Steez becuz it's the oober 1337." Generally everyone disregards that post.
  17. I might even recommend 4# Yo-Zuri hybrid. I've been using it all winter and am very impressed. 4# probably has an 8# or so breaking strength, so as long as your not playing baseball when your fishing you will be fine. And you can truly call it an ultra-lite rig with 4# line And I understand finesse bait-casting, I put some 6# flouro on my 50E and put it on a el cheapo wal-mart ultra-lite for small bluegills this winter and it was fun as all get out.
  18. Like what RW said. Alot of people think they have narrowed it down to their "best" options, yet those are highly over-rated items they think are "best" because little kids on youtube tell them its super dooper awesome, and reviews on Bass Pro (a lot of people dont know what they're talking about, example, a review on 20# fluoro said "This line has way to much memory, going back to my 8# mono. ) say the same. For example someone asks, "What reel should I get? The SHIMANO citica or the Daiwa Tierra?" I would ask what it would be used for, and recommend accordingly, and It usually isn't what the OP listed. I might recommend a Revo S for flipping, pitching, because of the drag, a closeout Curado for its lighter-weight casting, etc. The OP may not know that besides his options, there are far superior options that are still in his price range. That's why we may recommend products that he has not listed in what he want to know what is best.
  19. I pretty much just buy Rage Craws or Lobster. I either put the whole craw on my jig, or bite off some segments if I want a more compact presentation. I usually only use a lobster for straight texas/rage rigging. And my color of choice is Blue Craw or Okeechobee Craw
  20. Does anyone ever have blind confidence in a bait they've never used, they just like the way it looks? I find that I do with almost any jig, trailer, Rage Craw that is Green with blue/blue fleck. For example over winter I bought some Rage Craws and Lobsters in Blue Craw and OkeeChobee Craw, but I dont like the looks of black & blue. Any craw type bait with this color, I have infinite confidence in for no reason. Any one else finding that they have a blind confidence in some of the baits they bought?

I agree with the above, the Costa 580s are better and the difference and worth is clear. I'm selling a pair right now because I decided the style wasn't for me. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/96576-like-new-costa-del-mars-for-sale/
  22. I believe he might be saying that unless you explore with different brands, and their different reels, you wont find what's best (In general/ or for said person in question)
  23. Braid, for the sole purpose that you can get more line on it. And the whole no stretch thing. I wouldn't buy anything other than PP though, dont need nice line for crappies (:
  24. I just shipped one out today for a total of $18 with delivery confirmation and insurance.
  25. Yup, never had a problem. I highly recommend you insure though, just incase.
