The luckiest you even been (off water)
Whew, I guess the luckiest I've been is when I slammed my dad's truck into a tree when I was 19. Even though I walked away from it, I spent a week in the hospital with 4 broken ribs, cracked sternum, bruised heart, and I broke my face in 3 places. To either side of the tree was a cornfield, which some people may say makes it unlucky, but if I wasn't lucky, I wouldn't be here today...

Bought a new guitar :)
After 15 years playing my Takamine, I decided it was time to break down and get a new axe. What a great sound this guitar has, plus, its got an AMAZING pick-up! A little bit pricey, but a few gigs and it will pay for itself. I've played it so much since yesterday, I think I need to replace the strings already http://www.ibanez.com/acoustic/guitar.aspx?m=AEF100EACV

Single, old, and need some pick up lines, lol.
Listen to that, LBH is about the biggest horn-dog I've met on this site! Best advice, be sincere and look her in the eyes, and don't get caught "checking her out." Here's some that WILL work: Do you have a quarter? My mamma said I should call when I find the woman I want to marry. That sweater looks great on you! I wonder how it would look on my bedroom floor. Wanna get a pizza and go back to my place for sex? (when she says no, or laughs say,) What? Don't you like pizza?

Starting my last 2 classes
Though I don't know specifically, I agree in priciple with avid (ooo, that hurts to say that). Taking care of others is a noble and wonderful thing, but when it comes at the cost of your own happiness and sanity then what's the real point of it? You gotta take time for yourself every now and again and say hang the rest. Good luck with the degree, dude, I know you'll succeed with flying colors! If there's anything I can do to help, let me know; I used to be a tutor in college (Hey, there's alot of people that need help with frisbee, I'm just glad I can help them out...)

suspended bass?
Suspended bass are about the hardest bass to catch, imo. A lipless crank might do the trick, or perhaps even a swim bait, though I have never had any luck with those...

Hey Gang
Oh, man, it must be bad, LBH, if your friends are out "fishing " for you. If things aren't going well for you come winter, I'm gonna have to take your butt up to Vermont and we'll go "trolling." We'll even get you one of those fake cast so you can work the sympathy angle as well...HEHEE

Need Help Driving A Stickshift... UPDATE!
Driving a stick-shift can be both a great time and a pain in the pants. Believe it or not, I leanred to drive manual from the (ahem) "intrepid" Tred Barta. He took me (and his BMW) to a parking lot, and told me to watch, listen, and feel when he clutched and shifted gears. After a few times around the lot, he made me drive, but from a dead stop to 1st gear only. Then he said, "Now, try starting in second gear." Big difference. With your new car, you may find it easier to get going in 2nd as you'll be using a much higher rev and won't really need the low end unless you're on an up hill slope. At that point, try stopping and "balancing" the clutch and throttle to stay in one place on the hill. It takes some practice, but you'll be thankfull later on when you don't have to set your parking brake.

i am going to be taking a break fro BR.com Fellas
Muddy, I am gonna miss you while you're gone. Thick skinned, thin skinned, no skinned, doesn't matter. If someone disrespects you, then you have to do what makes it right for you. I don't agree with you having to take a break, but that's me, not you, and the decision is yours alone. Stay in touch, and if you're ever hanging around Brooklyn and want to do some lLong Island fishing, gimme a shout. You will always be welcome. Peace
