  1. he needed a boat- or was your question rhetorical?
  2. Nice to see a few from IL still fishing! my boat is in garage still, however it gave me extra time to install a few new extra toys.
  3. what exactly are you getting, nothing at all, or not your protypical "arch" is it reading bottom correctly?
  4. My Motorguide xi5 trolling motor has an nmea connector that will connect it to the Lowrance units (function available in the next month or two) I know that NMEA networks are powered. I assume you will connect the 0183 to the TM and the 2000 to each other? while it does contain power, I don't think you can power your unit from nmea, especially the 0183.
  5. Very nice! Get a length?
  6. out of all the dumb things I have read in my life this has to be up towards the top. Unfortunately, that is in reference to your entire post and not the tort in discussion. Lol
  7. Not his ducer...hdi
  8. has anyone noticed that the Lowarance transducer mount for the trolling motor seems to have it mounted backwards? I would think it needs to be the other way, has anyone noticed this or installed one as well? Thanks
  9. do you all use anything to fill in screw holes on the decking with carpet? For instance replacing a fish finder and have 3 screw holes were the old mounting bracket used to be and wondering if I should fill those holes and was something. Thanks
  10. I am so confused over the idea of not being able to brown ground beef that my head literally just exploded.
  11. water is around 45f jerkbaits and jigs on 45 degree angle windy banks should pick you up a few. What area of the lake?
  12. Well that went 0-60 pretty quick.
  13. interesting- so for all these years I have been reading things a bit incorrectly. scary... It seems most do not stop one to use the other and am also curious just how much interference I have been getting. Looking forward to comparing this year.
  14. Thanks- so if I were to run both the 83/200 and hdi at bow, I would want to turn off 83/200 at stern to avoid cross talk- am I reading that correctly?
  15. correct- mostly fish deep water as well.
  16. HDS gen2 at bow no SS and elite HDI at the bow.
  17. Question here. If you are running typical 83/200 kHz at front and bow do you need to stop sonar at stern when putting down the TM and using the one up front? Same frequencies however not sure if there would be any interference- I assume not. so my real question would be when running 455/800 at the front should you turn off 83/200 at the bow or would you only want to turn it off if you are running the 455/800 and 83/200? someone help me here if you can- wondering if I have been causing myself a bigger headache than I need. thanks, Mark
  18. i still think all the foods named are good expect for poorly cleaned oysters. I finally remembered one food that I refuse to eat ever again simply because of the smell, it actually tastes okay, but never again. limburger cheese.
  19. I don't think he was saying he did not believe you, but pictures really are not worth much anymore. Your picture really does not look 6.6 however I have no doubt it was 6.6 It is all about who takes better pictures these days, up close, from an upward angle, I bet we would guess your fish better than 6.6 'Big O' catches monsters, but he also takes the right pictures to get the point across imo.
  20. agree. I love almost all foods but not cleaned proper and it was just vile.
  21. Is there current generation where you are fishing? They could be anywhere on the point, but when there is active current, or current generation, it is much easier to base where there positioning will be. Go to http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp find your lake and do a screen shot of particular point you had in mind, with the name of the lake to post here and I am sure you will get a wealth of information to help you break it down- to which you can apply to other areas and bodies of water.
