  1. Well i guess its not as tough a decision as i thought! Lol. Helium it is. Thanks guys!
  2. Both the helium and carrot stix gold are on sale for the same price. I want another worm/jig rod. If anyone owns both or has tried them, I'd like to know which would be the better buy. I have until tomorrow to deicde between the 2. Replies appreciated!
  3. You can usually find a shimano core on here for 270-300. Those reels are amazingly light and powerful. They also cast light lures like a dream.
  4. I use the CUC-X68MH paired up with my 50mg for just about any light to medium weight plastics and jigs. I love cumaras. It would be safe to say they're my favorite rod right now, since im too broke to try the cumulus.
  5. Grandebass Rattlesnakes! ;D
  6. How much backing will you guys usually use?
  7. I use my mg50 for just those applications. Backlash free and nice distance. I have it paired with a cumara and is my favorite combo out of the the 11 that i have.
  8. Berkley and GYCB all day!
  9. I have 2 mag, one is micro guide and i LOVE em. Right now kistler has a fathers day sale where u buy 1 mg and proceed to checkout and u get a carbon free! I just ordered another yesterday. The mg's are super sensitive for worming, especially the micro one.
  10. When I fish T-rings,C-rigs jigs ect ect more less any bottom contact lure I will use a 6-7 foot long FC top shot setup. I use Megabass Dragon call FC to top shot with and ONLY Daiwa Sumari braid I use 55# with my top shot being 12# or 16#. you get almost the same feel as straight braid and when using such a premium braid and FC I feel that the sensitivity is even better then lets say using PP with no learder... I fish this setup on 19 of the 25 setups that are always in the boat (All bait casters) straight Daiwa braid on 4 of the other 6 and one with 25# Sunline Shooter FC for some swim baits and 12# Sunline Shooter on a deep cranking rod. my one spinning reel has 18# Daiwa Braid on it and that 18# line is thinner then 10# PP its THIN.... I dont really use it I have Pixy's to handle all the spinning reel stuff lol. Thanks for the reply. ATM all i have is a local tackle shop and an academy close by, and im pretty sure they dont have the daiwa braided. I was wanting to try this setup sunday. Is there any other braid that u can recommend that i might find.
  11. How long of a leader do u usually use?
  12. T-rigged yamamoto flappin hawg. Love it :
  13. Hey leever, what local pond is this if u dont me asking. Im having a tough time finding a good bank spot in town. I usually go to buttes on boat with my friend but thats only on weekends. Id like to fish more often than that.
