  1. Hey guys, I have a tournament coming up in a few weeks and my 20 hp motor just quit working, so I am stuck fishing the tournament with a trolling motor only. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach the tournament or have any suggestions on what to do? We are launching out of McKees run launch area. Thanks for any advice
  2. Its hard to beat a jig, wacky rigged senko, or a drop shot on tough day.
  3. I will use a topwater all day long when it is cloudy or overcast conditions. If it is sunny out, I like to use them right at first light and last light. For line, I like to use either heavy mono or 50 lb. braid.

  6. Hey guys, I just spooled up some rods with everywhere from 8 to 15 pound test FloroClear. What is every ones preference on what type of knot to use? Also, can I tie a Palomar knot with FloroClear? Thanks for the help

  8. The reel did come with a manual, but it did not say how to open it up.
  9. I picked up a tourney special reel at my local BPS because it was on sale. I got home and started looking at it and I cant figure out how to remove the side plate to get to the internal braking system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  11. Hey Guys, Im taking my first trip of the year to Raystown on Friday. Im kind of stuck on what to do since Raystown is usually a tough lake to fish. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try. I would really appreciate any advice so I don't get skunked on my first trip. Thanks

  13. Hey guys, I am looking at getting a new fishfinder for my jon boat to fish small tournaments in. I am looking for something in the less than 100 dollar range. I was thinking of the Garmin Echo series or the Lowrance x-4 series. If any of you have any experience with these or could share some pros and cons for each that would help out a lot. Thanks
  14. Hey guys, I have a small jon boat that doesn't have a livewell in it but I would like to start fishing tournaments out of it. I was thinking about building one out of a hard plastic ice cooler. Does anyone have any experience with making one of these? If so, what things do I need to purchase to make the livewell suitable for fishing an all day tournament? Ex. pumps, aerators, things like that. Thanks

  20. I am looking to get a new spinning combo from BPS. I will be using this for shakey heads and dropshot rigs. I have two in mind. 1. Bps extreme rod and reel combo 6'8 med light/fast and 2.Bps carbonlite rod with a PQ reel 6'9 med light fast Let me know what you guys think will be the better combo. Thanks
