  1. Nope Sorry, never heard of them. Mike
  2. No reason to drag it, I want that tail moving the way it was designed to do not being hindered by the bottom. Yes always t rigged, especially moving through vegetation. Mike
  3. 80% of the time I swim with 3/16 pegged tungsten weight. When using the standard size, (in mostly shallower water) I use the same weight but unpegged swimming and pitching. Mike
  4. My first choice through and around grass is a Magnum Speed Worm regardless of the season. Mike
  5. Excellent!! One of these days!! Mike
  6. Thanks, I’m sure we all would have done the same thing. The crazy thing about it was these kids made me feel better than I made them. I didn’t realize how much I missed talking fishing with young kids since my grandkids grew up. The 4 of us just sat there in the grass like it used to be. And all it “cost” me was a few bags of Senko’s, a few weights and hooks. I thought Mrs Mike was gonna be upset not being home at the regular time, but when I called her and told her what I doin she told me just to make sure they get home ok. She’s a good girl ? Mike
  7. Coming in for weigh-in at the BFL Championships a few years ago, I saw a few kids fishing from the bank and I noticed one holding his spinning rod upside down. It bothered me so much that after the weigh was over and after packing up I went over to them and showed him the right way. They started asking one question after the other and before I knew it over an hour went by. Mike
  8. Interesting, I have a bunch of different colored blade combo’s but never thought about white on white for some reason. Thanks James Mike
  9. I keep hearing good things about those, gotta try one. (The rod not the reel) Mike
  10. Fenwick Techna AV casting rod with a Shimano 200E reel. Mike
  11. I couldn’t make that one, but if I remember right we all did pretty well when we went to Lake Wilson that year. Matter of fact I still have the pack of the prototype Rage Bug’s (or was it the craw?) Big O passed out. Mike
  12. d**n!! I’m so so sorry. May God Bless your family Mike
  13. Yeah Here you are, but not as much as you might think. Mike
  14. It’s not what they’re watching. Regardless if they do or not, it gives me more control when trying to pull a fish out of the junk or when she gets hung up especially when using a high lb test braid. I’d rather not have to lock down the drag and put an undo amount of strain on it. Mike
  15. Bottom line is.. It matters when it matters. But there are more pressing considerations to consider before color being the only consideration ? Have I caught a fish just because I changed color? Sure, it happens. But as a matter of course not very often. It’s always my last option Mike
  16. Color is the last consideration I give when cycling through the many other lure options trying to find what they want on any given day Mike
  17. Is, and always has been a Super Spook for me
  18. I Bar the spool every time when she’s caught up in vegetation. It gives me much better control to work her out.. The drag system is good enough any other time. Mike
  19. Bless you and your family Koz. Keep the faith brother, it’s gonna get better I promise you. With all the heart break for so many people It may not look like it now but it will. We have to believe that. Mike
  20. I’ve read everything there is to read about how great SM fishing is. How hard they fight and all that. But staring at a screen all day trying to catch a 2lb fish by wiggling a worm in its face in 20 fow with a spinning rod and 8 lb test line just doesn’t do it me. Personally, Give a H/F BC with 80lb braid trying to out smart a 10lb beast buried up in a 2 ft thick mat, or matching wits with 8 lb mama on a bed for an hour. Mike
  21. I feel bad for them Mike
  22. Sure! Looks great to me Mike
