Ditto I use a Loomis MBR 843C GLX with 12# Yo Zuri and have no complaints. Now, I dont do it often and it's usually in no more than 20 fow in very select spots. Mike

I Love Flouro line...Use it on all but 2 setup's Can't stand mono..see no need for it Don't tie a leader on anything...see no need for it. Haven't used a spinning rod in 5 years (except for salt water) And no, none of that is a misprint And to answer a pm..I don't do drugs Mike

You really should if you can. Its not cheap but worth the chance to ride, listen and learn. And not only in the boat. Just walking around and talking to all the Pro's before, and after their meeting, sitting with them at thier dinner and walking around the parking lot in the evening, really was the highlight for me. I'd advise anyone to do it just once if you can. Mike

Interesting, I use flouro on every setup I have except for punching and have used Seaguar the past few years but switched to Sunline products that I like much better. I don't use spinning gear at all for anything either but want to start. This will give me a good starting point. Good write up, Thanks Mike

For dark stained water I use Junebug. I don't think I've ever used a black soft plastic and have no complaints. Frogs yes, plastics no. Mike

You don't want flouro for frogs. If you are looking for a line to do all you asked then I'd recommend 30# braid. If you take frog fishing off the list I'd use 20# Shooter. Mike
