The Perfect Texas Rig rod
Since most are posting what they use...I use an older 7' Fenwick Techna AV. If anything ever happened to that rod and after I stopped crying like a little girl I'd find another somewhere or just give up the whole thing. Mike

Lead or Tungsten
When the holes are closed or deformed in any way I toss them. I don't trust that there may be a bur inside even tho I rounded out the hole on the outside Mike

seagur flourocarbon
I agree with Dypsis.. I use flourcarbon almost exclusively, certainty for anything with a single hook other than punching matt's. Believe me when I tell you I've tried a bunch of them, other than Tatsu however. It may be better in a lot of ways and have no reason to doubt anyone's opinion, but for me my search ended at Sniper. Try a few squirts of L&L before an outing and it will definitely help. Now, all that being said if they stopped making it, Tatsu would be my first choice Mike

Curious, what bad luck did you have with Sniper? I switched from Invisex and like it much better. Mike

Cork or foam rod handle?
I don't care, don't have a preference either way. There is more important aspects to a rod for me than what the handle s made of. Mike

Worm and Jig Rod?
Ditto I bought the GLX 843C MBR to use strictly for bottom contact baits but found the tip too soft for my liking in heavy cover. But to have one rod to do what you want it's perfect. Mike

Do you log condition details of fish you've caught?
As primarily a tournament co -angler I do it all. Sometimes I think it isn't necessary because the boater has the ultimate decision about where and how long we stay at a certain spot. But I do it anyway. When I stop and decide to enter as a boater, I'll have something to start with Some will ask my opionion but if they have been fishing any of the 3 circuit's I fish in, most won't because they already have thier favorite way points which is fine with me, its thier boat. The only time I get asked which is all the time, is on Okeechobee because that lake changes so much. Mike

I like the head to head format better anyway. At least you know where you stand based on decisions you make. Combine that with things you can't control....It would have been interesting tho.. You keep thinkin, you're doing a fine job! . Mike
