Milfoil
Get yourself a few Big EZ's or a Skinny Dipper. Rig with a 5/0 1/4oz keel weighted hook or a 1/16oz pegged nose weight. Use at least 30# braid on a MH rod. Throw as far as you can and work it back to you just deep enough to tick the top of the grass and dropping it into every hole you come across. There will be times you won't put the rod down. Mike

What's Your "go To" Worm?
The Cut R has become my go to search bait in scattered grass areas. Honey Candy and June bug, Love that thing. Arv, The thing about the Cut R is If you rig it with the tail rudder up or down it will change it's action. It will make the tail ride up more or with a downward curve, No matter if you swim it during a steady retrieve, Wacky Rigged and more importantly on a Carolina rig. Try it Mike

The Hunger
This pretty much sums it up. I can't drive down a street, country road, or even an interstate without wondering if there are any fish in a canal, stream, river, lake or even a retention pond I see on the side of the road. It makes me just want to turn around or pull off for 5 minutes and wet a line just to see. I've been fishing in more tournaments the last few years than I really expected too and it seems the more I enter, the more excited I get. The excitement and anticipation sometimes gets the best of me tho. It's not only to have a chance at winning and cashing a check, but the opportunity it gives to fish different waters in areas I wouldn't normally take the time too. So was I born with it? I really dont know. I've haven't always felt this way I know. Maybe now in my old age I feel it more because I know I'm closer to finishing up that starting out. So I guess for me it's a little of both. Mike

Small Hollow Body Frogs?
No there isn't, Captain Ken makes a small one called the Clone. It's a so called "designer" frog. It's made of foam with molded eyes, has a steel rod that runs through the body that balances it and where the front mounted hook is connected to. The kicking action of the legs is what's unusual about it. They lay almost horizontal just sitting in the water with big molded feet facing forward. When you twitch this thing the legs move back and forth. At first I thought it was just one of those novalty baits you see on late night tv, but I'll tell ya this thing has the most realistic looking kicking action of any frog I've ever used. It's a little tougher to walk in place, but for a stop and go, straight retrieve, it's really something to check out. Mike

Small Hollow Body Frogs?
Those don't look much bigger (maybe a little narrower) than my all time favorite... The under appreciated, seldom talked about, little 'Ol Sum Frog. Mike

What Foods Do You Snack On To Get You Through A Fishing Day?
Can't eat in the morning, never could. I used to bring a sandwich, some cookies, fruit and anything else Mrs Mike would throw in. Now I just pick up one of those lunchable things with the cheese, crackers and ham. 2 bottles of water and I'm good. A lot easier and less messy, especially in someone else's boat. Mike

What Should I Get At Bps
The quality of the XPS line is fine. Many BPS sponsored pro's and many posters here use it. From what I understand it's made by Seaguar useing some kind of priority process. I may be wrong, but someone a lot smarter than me may be by soon and explain better. Other than a Sluggo, I throw thier Stick O's stick bait more than any other. They don't have the salt content that a Senko has, and maybe a fraction less action on a wacky hook, and that's fine with me. They sure will last longer too. Mike

Hybrid Line Advice
Yes Sir... But, when you wrap the doubled line over the main line no need to wrap 6 times as recommended when tying the single. With 20# test line wrapping 3 times is sufficient, 4 or 5 times for 15# or less. Mike

Hybrid Line Advice
When I used Yo Zuri for bottom contact presentation's I used the double SDJ knot and never had a problem. Don't use the line anymore for plastics, but still use the same knot. Mike
