  1. I have my Stradic Ci4+ paired on a Kistler Helium 3 Light/Med Hvy rod. That combo is my dedicatd soft jerkbait, small crankbait setup. The Helium feels like it was meant to be paired with the Ci4+ both being crazy lightweight. My second option would be what @Chris at Tech suggested.
  2. Reels: Daiwa, Abu Garcia, The name we can't say Rods: I have one brand I fish: Kistler. I did enjoy my Phenix, Denali and Abu Garica when I used them. I'm more of a brand loyalist when it comes to rods.
  3. Somebody with more experience will chime in. I have not used the Pearl Trick Worm however, one of my go to drop shot baits and shakey head baits is a Keitech Easy Shakers in "Sight Fish" which is a white pearl. I use this color exclusively on the crystal clear waters I fish as well as, although not as frequent, on stained and dirty water.
  4. Kistler is releasing their new ZBone, I heard Shimano will have a new Citica and Casitas, we all know about the new Garmin live imaging and Omega custom tackle has some new jigs debuting at ICast.
  5. Although there was no confrontation I was fishing as a back seater in an event when my boater completely passed up on a couple nice docks. Out of curiosity I asked why and he said that the home owner wrapped the dock in galvanized barbed wire to cut lines. I didn't believe it so I skipped a senko under the dock and sure enough when reeling in line was cut and I lost my stuff. The boater laughed a little and told me it has been like that for years. Also said the home owner went to the county and tried to buy the section of the lake that his docks on. Some people just don't understand.
  6. I got a small club event on St. Claire next weekend June 24. I have never fished this lake this early everytime I fish it it is mid to late fall. I'm assuming drop shot and ned rig because they'll be deeper in the summer heat. Am I wrong? What else should I take into consideration?
  7. I use 6 and 8 lb mono on my finesse setups usually Vicious Ultimate and spray ReelSnot on the spools to help with line twist.
  8. Kistler KLX Feel n Reel. It has a glass tip blended into a graphite blank. You get the best of both worlds. Works great for cranks.
  9. I use the Kistler Helium 3 with my Stradic Ci4+. It balances perfect and is the lightest setup I have. I also use a Kistler KLX with another Ci4+. Still balances perfect just a tab bit heavier.
  10. I use the Roboworm Ned Worms and really enjoy them. They are not as durable as TRD but I like them more.
  11. 12# Vicious Pro Elite Fluorocarbon
  12. I think I got it figured out I organized by size and color. It filled up 4 3700 boxes but also saved me space from 8 3600 and a 3700 box full.
  13. I am a huge Oakley fan and have multiple pair with the new Prizm lenses. I love sight fishing with these. However if you don't wanna spend $200-$300 for sunglasses check out the Strike King S11 glasses.
  14. All these responses lead me to believe I have too many crankbaits. It was easier when I didn't have over 100 of them. Anyways, thank you for all the responses it has selped tremendously.
  15. to clarify do you organize by depth, size, features, action?
  16. I can't believe it took this long to see a post for the Rage Swimmers. I am with RoadWarrior. I can get Rage Swimmers for $3.50 a pack at Walmart. I'm on my last pack of Keitechs. Once they are done I will be using Rage Swimmers only. I do have a few pack of Exoswims but I haven't used them yet.
  17. As I accumulate more crankbaits I am trying to find an easy way to store and organize them. Like most I use Plano 3600 and 3700 boxes (actually I switched to Lure Lock but same sizes). I only own shallow water down to 8' since I don't fish deep waters very often. How do you organize? I have 1.5, 2.5, squarebill, roundbill, circuit board, silent, rattle, and flatsided. I just keep getting overwhelmed trying to figure out what should go where.
  18. I disagree. All golf balls my look the same but are constructed with different materials. Also dimple size, weight, number of dimples and dimple shape are all unique to each manufacture.
  19. I feel really stupid because I have never used a grub for bass. I have Fluorescent Orange, Pink, Chartreuse, and white for walleye and crappie but they are never in the boat when I'm targeting bass.
  20. The Maumee River is famously known for the Walleye spawning run from Lake Erie. Yesterday while I was participating in the annual run a guy caught a monster of a walleye. I can't take credit for the catch or the picture but I am glad someone snapped a shot of this fish.
  21. x2 on the Kistler. I can't wait for the new ZBones to be released. And a HE3 for less than $100 I'm jumping all over that.
  22. Kistler KLX drop shot/finesse rod. Its my workhorse spinning rod.
  23. That's strange since the Outdoor Channel owns WFN and Sportsman Network. I thought they were all international. You just pay $10 and stream any show from Outdoor Channel you want. They have past libraries and on air shows streaming.
  24. Zona, Hook and Look, Bass Pros, Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance, Roland Martin, MLF, Facts of Fishing, Fishing University, Timmy Horton Outdoors are all on Outdoor Network. I never had any interest to change from Outdoor Network. I set my DVR to record all the shows and never have an empty list of shows when I can sit down and watch.
  25. "Favorite" Brand fishing rods, Enigma, Falcon, Halo, IRod, Lamaglass, Power Tackle, Phenix, Quantum and Abu Garcia uses the ACS reel seat but has a different finishes and colors. I found all of them on Tacklewarehouse, I'm sure there are more it is popular by manufactures but gets a lot of hate by anglers (reasons stated above).
