Shimano is replacing the current cumara with a new version so it's a good time to jump on the deal. Just like what they did with clarus line and crucial they would still honor the warranty on the old clarus and replace them with the new version.

I don't think they would have the same model in each class. Sample is the rod length of 6'3" is in the reaction series but not in standard cumara. Another difference is the hook keeper placement, the reaction is in the blank like other standard wire hook keeper while the plain cumara has a hole in the bottom of the rear grip.

my take.. I don't see any room in the low profile category so If shimano is coming up with a $200 reel, I think they need to release a low end Calcutta replacing the Calcutta A or B. It would have the same design of the new Calcutta D with lower bearing counts and other shortcuts to bring the price from $350 to $200.00.
