What scents do you for putting on your plastics and jigs?
Smelly Jelly in the Bass Feast scent. I called the company a few years ago asked the shelf life of it. The answer...Forever.

Shimano Spinning Reel Maintenance
CRC Electronic cleaner cuts grease like crazy. I spray my bearings with it and it evaporates fast and leaves no residue. Won't damage plastic.

Is there a name for my rig?

Update on Me
Thank you all for your kind remarks...a great bunch of thoughtful anglers. For the first time in weeks I will be downstairs at the fishing work bench getting things ready and had no interest at all before. It does make a difference and thank you Lord.

Update on Me
A doctor in the group of cardiac surgeons treating me, who refers to himself as "the electrician" did a shock treatment on me yesterday and I responded favorably to the first shock to get my old heart back in tune. An easy fix for now and no ICD implant. Yeh!!!!!

Weedless prop for TM
I upgraded my TM two years ago to a 12V, digital, variable speed 55lb Motor Guide(not wireless) and it came with a 3-blade Motor Guide describes as a "Machete"blade. The blade housing fits inside the motor housing, so it does a great job of cutting its way through the salad, even at just 55lbs. Very nice design. The higher I have the speed set, the more efficient it is at eating its way through.

Stupid Shimano SLX question
Well, when I got into bass fishing a bait cast reels, I, like you, would spool up with mono to get a feel for the reel and it always worked for me. I am not a braid fan and have gone to flourocarbon on all of my reels exept for the frog reel and that is 50lb Sufix 832. Starting out with braid resulted in too much fiddling around with it, at least for me.

G3 boat purchase advice!
The water rots the stiching and seeps down into the foam. Anyway, mine are 20 years old and in perfect shape. Always stored outside under a boat cover and a tarp.

G3 boat purchase advice!
I agree on the Talons and being a good deal. Hardly the same, but in 2000 I bought my G3 Pro 175 with a 5" black and white sonar on the cockpit, a Motorguide 43 TM and a 60 hp Yamaha 2 stroke. with a powder coated trailer delivered for $9,500. By June, 2011 the Potomac had eaten my trailer, so $2600 for a new galvanized, removeable tongue trailer. Over the years the sonars and TM have been upgraded, as have the bunks. The boat has been great and still looks like new, Still a no stink carpet, seats are fine but I don't fish in the rain. On a perfect flat water day I might get up to a 35mph GPS with 21 gallons of gas, gear and my adult daughter. Now running a SS prop. Hope you come to a happy deal and enjoy your boat

NotBassFishing, But boy Do I Need Comments
Well, I ended up with three stents in the last 45 days. Cardiac doc called yesterday with the results of my Heart Echo...not good. The old heart (now 86) will not control itself and he asked me to consider having an IDC implanted to take control. Anyone on here have one and will comment on it. Geez, what next

He only said, "easy on the eye"- lens color
My eye surgeon pushed me to wear brown/amber lense. I only have one eye, so Cocoons doe the job well.- How to keep spring rod stand in your truck?
No idea on the spring rod thing, but my covered, up to 7'2" rods go in my bed like this X and as I said with rod and reel covers on. Fourteen fit nicely this way. Ranger 72" bed.- Mono Users: Green, Camo, or Clear?
Since the tidal Potomac is consistent......murky that is, Green for me always.- Trapper trebles TW sale, worth it?
Do not know about the treble Trapper hooks, but when they hit the market a few years ago bought several pacs of 3/0 and 4/0 hooks out of curiosity and still have a few left. I was amazed at their hooking efficiency from the gitgo and never lost a fish. Senkos threaded on to them with no problem at all.- Oldest Mono You Have Used?
I only use on one reel, but I have what is left on a BPS 20lb mono jumbo spool hanging on my line peg board over my bench, in its original box, which is now 20 years old. Every year I hose it down with KVD and it is going strong.- Bear Hair Jigs How To?
The hair on a bucktail jig is far more course.- Fishing room storage ideas?
- Finally took delivery of my new rig
So just hook your bow strap to the bow ring over the the top of the roller instead of under it. - lens color
