NotBassFishing, But boy Do I Need Comments

Featured Replies

Well, I ended up with three stents in the last 45 days.  Cardiac doc called yesterday with the results of my Heart Echo...not good. The old heart (now 86) will not control  itself and he asked me to consider having an IDC implanted to take control.  Anyone on here have one and will comment on it.  Geez, what next

If you stub your toe or hit your thumb with a hammer, you do whatever you want. If you're 86 and have heart problems, you'd best do EXACTLY WHAT THE DOCTOR SAYS!

After the implant, you come back here and talk to us, y'hear?    ?     jj

I thank you so much for the encouraging words.  Looks like I may get another summer on the Potomac after all. and as my sweet daughter has declared,"Not without me you are not"

Good luck to you! Wishing you all the best with the procedure.

Nothing but good wishes and I'll keep you in my prayers

Many thanks for your kind remarks.

Well shoot, what a fine howdy doo, eh?  That's not a good thing to hear from your doctor.

Personally, if I were hesitant about it, I'd get a 2nd opinion.  You're in control of your own health decisions, and so you should feel confident in whatever you choose to do.  A 2nd opinion will either reinforce your doctor's advice, or may provide less invasive options to try first.  Either way, you'll make a better informed decision.

Good luck!

So right Glenn and thanks for the comment.   I made it to 86 and don't want to screw it up now.

Wish you nothing but the best possible outcome @OnthePotomac, and a second opinion is sound advice and peace of mind.

I'm here to offer positive vibes. Hoping you get a path to recovery, and a speedy one.

X2. This is why we have doctors and not Voodoos gods. Do what your doc says. Period. End of discussion.
