  1. Yep a little REM oil on qtip ran around the drum works great. All 6 pin shimanos get this 2-3 times a year.
  2. Kinami Palm Tree watermelon chartreuse. Used three yesterday lost one the other two used mend-it to fix the tears.
  3. I wouldnt use 20#, 10 max but your location and size fish you might hook into would be different from me. 10# braid will hold a knot to 15 pounds or so, well except weak kanzen and smackdown if those lines 20# would be needed to match other 10# rated braids.. So my vote is OVERKILL.
  4. Super8Slick is quieter than 832, sufix performance, smackdown, kaizen, YGK-dsoul, gamma, samurai, jbraid. With some not by much but it is noticeable if quiet is something a person is wanting.
  5. Ive had pike snap 16# sniper fc like a soggy spaghetti noodle. Also I have Premier 6'6" MH/F spinning rod not much fun for bass fishing its pretty stout unless you want to use frogs.
  6. Never much success with neds. Ive tried all weights shroomz 1/20-1/5 and weedless too multiple other brands in various sizes. Trd, big trd, zinker z, finesses z, 1/2 senko. Caught 3 bass one day using roboworm neds so bought 15 more packs of them in various colors just to be disappoint there after. Spinning casting mono fc braid. A 2.8" paddle tail on 1/8 jig head does me much better in the same places.
  7. I would like micros on all my rods.
  8. Those are rather heavy rods for 7' mediums Ive been spoiled
  9. Im the opposite of a few posting so far, I rarely get bit on the initial fall. I work the senko back twitching the rod tip 2-3 times moving about 2 feet total then wait and repeat. Im very patient and on long casts can take a few minutes to complete the retrieve.
  10. My issue is dull hooks on a number of sleepers I have. Got a new one out today and hook dull out of package. Dont know if you can see but that point is like snub-nosed no actual point wont even grab skin let alone my fingernail.
  11. All bought new: rods 2 SC premier rods $24@ SC LTB $115 SC Legend Elite $125 Original Cumara $100 Clarus $30 Crucial $42 13 Omen Black $30 Okuma Helios $110 reels Curado 50E $99 Chronarch CI4+ $110 Lews BB1 Pro $87 SupremeXT spinning $75 Tatula $38 Kimami Palm Trees $2 a pack bought 175 packs or so, all they had left of certain color, discontinued now.
  12. I would like to try graphite.
  13. here a vid 12#fc vs 65#braid would think 15# braid fall even faster. I only fish wacky senko and only 10# braid or 8# nanofil so cant help with your set-up.
  14. He did leave out "versatile" so maybe the pitcher only 3/4 full. Anyways, Ill take Keitech S I Fats over hazedongs any day.
  15. Nope cant agree? Had a couple issues with mine, was still new. Thankfully Cabelas has a 90 day return policy got my money back. Like the Helios rods though.
  16. This is the Kinami Palm Tree version watermelon chartreuse discontinued Ive seen riggged top/bottom or bottom/top just prefer eye of hook near skirt though never really tried other way.
  17. I only use up to #3 mepps no issue at all with 8# braid or 8# nanofil but Im going for stocked trout. Use the same 2 line/set-ups for 3 seasons now no ill effect on my line. I use 1-1/2' leader of 10# fc to a spro bb swivel or eagle claw.
  18. So is there a way to view the "solved" post? I have two "solved" but no idea for what.
  19. If cap is loose plumbers Teflon tape around the threads might help hold it in place
  20. No preference. Favorite bc rod has eva favorite spinning has cork.
  21. The thinking that they are is incorrect. Bc or spinning shallow spool doesn't increase/decrease or make ipt more accurate. 25-50-100' feet of line out doesn't make the dia. of remaining line on shallow/regular spool any different only overall capacity.
  22. You could have added a bit more. If wanted to go through the hassle you could take that line off add some cheap mono backing then put that line back on to get the spool filled. But no biggie really.
  23. I love these tales of woe threads.
