Pinnacle Rods And Reels
Ever found yourself wanting the best equipment possible? I know I sure have. Ever found your funds a little lacking? That category fits me too. Well let me tell you a little about a company that fits the bill for both- Top quality equipment at an affordable price. If you have read any of the posts in the Rods and Reel forum referencing a spinning rod suggestion, you are sure to have run across my post about giving Pinnacle a try. I'm sure you think that I only tout their rods because they are a sponsor here. You would be dead wrong. I purchased my favorite spinning rod, a Pinnalce DHC5-701SPML, a while back and instantly fell in love. And there is good reason for it. All Perfecta series rods provide top quality components such as Pinnacle’s exclusive Double Helical Construction (DHC5) and Fuji reel seats and Guides. All at an affordable price. I would compare my rod to those of much higher price ranges and put it ahead of most. That is saying something, coming from someone who likes nice equipment. My rod is paired with a Shimano Stradic CI4 2500 and the entire combo weighs less than 11 ounces. I have handed it to others without telling them what it is and they ALWAYS think it is a much higher priced combo. It is just that nice! And you should expect it to be. When they set out to design these rods, they enlisted the help of top touring Pros like Dave Wolak, Paul Elias, John Crews, Brandon Card and Britt Myers just to name a few. Pinnacle's Perfecta DHC5-7112CAHFS is the model that was specifically designed for Paul Elias to his exact specifications for the umbrella rig. It is now part of the Perfecta series line-up. Rod Specs: 7'11" 2-piece telescopic, Heavy action, Fast taper, 1/2 - 3oz lure wt.; 14-30 lb line weight, applications - heavy flipping, pitching, umbrella rig. With a lineup of Tournament Class reels in both spinning and casting, you are sure to find what you are looking for it this category as well. From freshwater to saltwater they have everything you should need to fill a Christmas list for the sportsman in your family or for yourself. I know I have another rod on my list this year! Something else that I would like to mention is their dedication to fishing extends beyond making a profit. Stay around here enough and you will know what a great foundation Tackle the Storm is, and everything they do to help children who have lost everything, and the joy they get by having equipment to get out on the water and ease their minds of everything they lost. Well just this past September, the guys over at Pinnacle donated 50 (FIFTY) rod and reels combos to Tackle the Storm. If you don't believe me, just see what others are saying..... https://www.bassresou...e__hl__pinnacle https://www.bassresou...T-perfecta.html https://www.bassresou...rma-review.html https://www.bassresou...dhc-review.html Jeff

No Dwight Fish But....
I did catch this one along with 6 others below the Pickwick Dam today. Conditions were rough. Air temp was 30-34. Wind was out of the south at 5-10. Water temp was 55-56. Not enough water, and bait was too small. Jeff

Why Are Megabass Products So Expensive?
Not always about price either. I traded down from a Kreighoff to a Blaser in 2010 and haven't looked back. Jeff

World Record Largemouth
The day I caught my PB, I hooked another bass of which I never saw. It was on the same rod/reel/line/lure and my PB was turned and headed to me. This other bass never stopped. Peeled drag like a stripe(of which there are none where I was fishing). Never turned its head towards me and broke my 25lb line with ease. Whose to say how big it was. I am 90% sure it was a bass. I will be back to try again! Jeff
