  1. Here is what I did! Tubes are 22'' long and held up on the other side by a piece of aluminum I made to support the other ends! Here are a couple of pictures of the setup outside the boat and in.
  2. Thats a nice en there! Jeff
  3. http://memphis.craigslist.org/spo/2567349333.html Found this craigslist deal, I just couldn't pass up!!! And as I am one to NEVER pay ful asking price, I gave him $220!!
  4. When we pond hop, my buddy and I use an old coleman 2 man boat made out of "ram-x". It is a 10 foot model and decently stable. If you sit to fish, it is very stable. We both caught our pb's out of it this year. his 8lb 1oz, and my 8lb 9 oz. We both bring 2 rods, and minimal tackle, and use a 40lb trolling motor and one battery. There is also someone that makes wheels to attach to them that make the VERY easy to wheel around, even with t-motor and battery in it! Jeff
  5. Tried but no faceyspace....sorry!!!
  6. .........................
  7. That is an absolute stunning smallie! It would have been release unharmed, but also had a replica mount made for me to have memories forever! Jeff
  8. Arkansas!!! Wooo Pig Soooieee!!! Jeff
  9. Dont have one, but if I run across one I'll make sure to get it to ya!!!
  10. Yea, the 2 reels they had were on open displays. I wouldn't touch em with a 7 foot ugly stick. So I raided the tackle for what I thought were great deals! Jeff
  11. Went by my dicks and same deal...everything clearanced and 50% off clearance. Had one curado and one citica left, but both were left hand and displays. But I did get a couple spooks for $2.48 each, a couple lucky craft cranks for $5.48 and a sammie for $3.48! Sweet deal on some lures as well...don't pass em up! Jeff
  12. Congrats on the new pb smallie!
  13. here's the other picture we got of it, but I didn't like the houses in the background... It's a better pic with lighting though...
  14. So after hearing of RW success at one of our local honey holes, and he stopped by my work today to rub it in( just kidding RW) I had to get out there tonight. I had told the wife that I was going and like usual invited her. I cooked our steaks on the grill in a hurry and got dressed. I see her already in her lazying around the house/night clothes and asked her again to come. She doesn't normally come unless we go trout fishing on the river, but I somehow managed to get her out for only her 2nd bass outing this year. We start fishing down the bank and about 30 mins in I see her reeling in a fish. She says, its a little one. But just then it turns, heads for the middle of the pond and her drag starts screaming. I told her, that ain't no little one about the same time it jumped. She knew then. After what seemed like a 20 min fight(probably like 1 min lol) she gets it close enough to the bank for me to grab it. Her new PB at 4lb 8oz. She begged me not to show the picture, cause you know how women are, when they get there picture taken, and I drug her off the couch in her lazy clothes, but I'm proud and am gonna post it up anyways! Public Pond 8/15/11 7:40pm Shakespear Ugly Stick ML combo bought for panfish 6 lb test with a storm 3'' wild eye swimbait P.S. I only caught one dink...lol

  18. Took my wife's Honda Pilot in for tinting the windows, running boards and remote start. Got there at 8am and nobody was there. So I looked at the window to see what their hours were and... Thought that was pretty good!! Jeff
  19. Went out to the public pond again and tricked one into hitting a swim Jig. Only fish of the evening, but I was only out there for an hour. St Croix Avid AVC70hf Shimano Curado 200e7 Daiwa Samuria 40lb Braid Bonehead Custom Swim jig w/ powerbait 4'' curlytail white trailer

  22. 7'' version of the rage tail thumper
  23. Great story and determination! Sorry to hear of your loss! We also had a destroyed pond due to the high waters that left many lunkers in fields! Must have been the same time, sometime in April when it happened. Just one month previous to the rains, we had pulled an 8lb 9oz (my pb) and an 8lb 1 oz( best friends pb) out of the same pond less than 200 yrds from each other, one week apart. Jeff
  24. If I were to get one combo to do multiple things in that price range, I would look at a St Croix Avid AVC70MF paired with a Shimano Curado 200e7. Price would be in the range of $170ish for the rod and $150ish for the reel. You are looking at around 320, and spend the other 80 on tackle! Jeff PS- Welcome to BR!!
